I think there are some under the delusion that whatever head coach and staff they happen to like and believe in could somehow manage win in the NFL with the talent of a high school roster. Cause it’s all about X’s and O’s, schemes and adjustments. The talent doesn’t matter. SMH.
How many of those players were great players because they had skills that Walsh knew how to utilize but may not have been appreciated elsewhere? It's not as if Montana was a super hot draft commodity and he didn't necessarily fit what the NFL thought should be a QB at that point.
