On this first week of autumn, this first day that the season matches the sport in places like Gillette Stadium, let's see if these Dolphins compete a little more like you expect in a Bill Parcells team.

Let's see if they can avoid their strategic errors against the Jets and their flat-out embarrassment in Arizona. Let's see if they can find some progress, somewhere, from someone who's going to be around here for a while.

Let's see, mainly, if they can avoid the growing fear in the locker room.

"Guys are afraid of last year repeating," one Dolphin said after the Arizona loss last week.

Good article. I don't expect to win I just expect progress, the opposite of last week.

All I want to see is a team playing hard out there with minimal mistakes. I've resigned myself to a loss, but, I can take a loss to a better team...It's looking like a bunch of hapless toolbags I can't take.

Couldn't agree more...

good read.....

this game is crucial. We need to start winning some division games

We need to show that we are going to compete week after week. If we do that we will sneak up on someone for some wins, but these last couple of weeks the mistakes have been so huge it looks like we might have another 1-15 season. I really doubt we will, but we must show some heart and i believe it will be this week.

Steady improvement and confidence-gaining are probably going to be the goals from here on out. If the team loses confidence they will be whipped before they take the field. And no one wants to play for a crappy team that isn't showing signs of getting better.

Miami isn't about getting to the playoffs this year, but in a sense they are on a season-long job interview with next year's FA class. Improvement is mandatory if we are going to supplement our 2009 draft pick additions with key FA acquisitions.

even the sun shines on a dogs but somedays. I think we win today i just got that gut feeling that cinderella aka cassel is gonna come home from the ball.
fins 17 pats 14

If pennington is gonna try to be perfect with his reads and anticipation instead of just gettin back there and freakin throwin the damn ball then we will be embarrassed.

Imo hes holdinfg this team back in a lot of ways

The problem is that this is NOT a Bill Parcells team. He is not coaching. he doesn't run the practices, he isn't in team strategy meetings, he doesn't do the game plan. Just because he is in the building doen't mean that this is in any way, shape or form a Bill Parcells team.
