I, like many of you, have been pondering our QB options for next year.
Yes, I have been thinking lets sign Flynn, he is a FA, we don't have waste picks and we can still have a good draft and fill needs....
But honestly, enough with the safe route, enough with the "wheelbarrow and pickup truck" mentality, we need to roll the dice and take a risk.
Honestly, RGIII looks the part and has a good head on his shoulders. His college stats are amazing and for all intent and purpose he should be a home run.
Nothing is guaranteed but the safe route has gotten us nowhere over the last decade and in the "new age" NFL we need an exciting QB......its time for RGIII in Miami.

There's going to be a biding war for him and we don't have the amo to compete with the other teams that are already in front of us.

Ozzy rules!!

between picks and players I think we can pull it off if we really want

RGIII is an instant identity to the team and for marketting, something Ross is very high on finding. At least one of the QB starved teams will be out of the running as they will have signed Flynn. The Browns are in the drivers seat with thise two first rounders.

Unfortunately it sounds as if the Dolphins are going after Manning if he is released and is healthy. This may lead to drafting Tannehill as the long term solution. Funny to use the term unfortunately and Peyton together but I'd rather wind up with Flynn or Weeden. This is going to be a very interesting 3 months which will be hard to predict.

I think there is a much better chance that we take Ryan Tannehill at #9 vs trading up for RG3.

I don't see Ireland trading away a bunch of picks for a unknown QB that may pan out or fizzle. Ireland values his picks too much to do that. Plus there are still holes to fill on both sides of the ball. Plus if they decide to switch to a 4-3 defense, that will create a few more holes.
The QB situation, will be addressed in FA, Flynn seems the logical choice. I don't believe Manning will be able to come back to the pro-bowl form he once was, providing he is able to come back at all. Moore did a good job and worst case we draft a 2nd tier QB and ride with Moore and Henne. as the 3 QB's on the roster. Then wait for next year and see what develops on the QB front.

Taking Tannehill with the #9 pick would be a big time reach. He probably won't get drafted till the 2nd round.

Mayok and Brandt both say he will be drafted in the first half of round one. Normally he wouldn't be but with Jones and Barkley going back Tannehill's stock rises.

All in to me means to pay Indy whatever they want for Luck. That's the consensus best Q available since Manning. So going for RGIII just means we are settling for 2nd best. That's too many 1st founders for a guy who said the NFL is plan B.

Safe, enough of Safe, just my opinion....
