He needs to play in the Pistol formation so we can actually throw out of it. I'm so sick of Pat White comming in and wasting downs. I'd rather see Henne just spike the ball in the ground. The only thing that pizzes me off about this coaching staff is they are so slow to make personnel changes. Put in Thigpen and lets throw out of the formation.
 
dude be careful with your titles to your threads people might think you are calling for Henne's head. Yes i agree that if we stay with the pistol formation we need to put someone in who could actually do something right now. White may be the ultimate answer but right now thigpen is NFL ready.

i say scrap it for the next two weeks let Henne take the base offense against the Panthers and Bills and lets see what the kid has got then you dont kill his drives and his rhythm

If they are going to continue to run this formation, I'd rather see Thigpen back there as well. Pretty sure that Thigpen is a converted running back so he is certainly athletic enough to get it done. Based on his performance last year he can obviously throw the ball. Pat White scares me to death everytime he steps on the field. He looks like a turnover waiting to happen, even though he hasn't yet.

Better yet, let's play a conventional offense for a change and let Henne get his groove on. He might have a new best friend in Speers. I'd sure like the chance to find out.

I LIKE THE SIZE OF THIGPEN AND IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT HE CAN DO!!!! HOWEVER WE CAN'T GET PATRICK TURNER ON THE FIELD LET ALONE THIGPEN, PLUS I THINK PAT WHITE SHOULD RUN THE PISTOL WISHBONE, I BONE, AND HAM BONE( PREFERABLY HAM BONE LIKE TRACY HAM AND THE GA SOUTHERN ERK RUSSELL TEAMS) SINCE, PAT WHITE IS EFFICIENT IN RUNNING THE SPREAD, HE NEEDS TO RIDE LOUSAKA ALONG WITH HILLIARD OR LARRY JOHNSON:thanks:ROTATING. HAVE HIM RIDE THE FULLBACK INTO THE MIDDLE TO START THE TRIPLE OPTION AND THEN LET HIM THROW IT DOWN THE FEILD, HEY ONE THING FOR DAMN SURE, IF HE DOES THAT IT WILL BE MAN TO MAN TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!:woot:I LIKE HENNE WE JUST NEED TO BE PATIENT, ONE THING IS FOR SURE, HE'S A WINNER!!!!!!

After watching the 49'er game the other day I can confidantly say that Henne is clearly better than Smith, but if Thigpen got to play there is a good chance that Henne might end up being the 2nd string QB at this point.

Thigpen can play & he is mobile. He didn't seem to have a problem feeling the pressure and moving which seems to be Henne's biggest problem right now.
