Ginn plays with a quarterback who COMPLETELY is the opposite of a QB who would compliment Ted Ginn's strengths as a receiver. We have a quarterback who specializes in dink and dunk passes, and a #1 receiver who specializes in completely burning the CB on one move and then simply outrunning him 40 yards down the field to get open. That's not exactly perfect chemistry.
By the way, Pennington's been spreading the ball to the entire team his entire career, it's his style of play, he really doesn't go to one receiver over and over like some teams can do. (even when he had some very decent receivers with the jets)
The fact that Ginn still continues to lead the team in catches and be our biggest playmaker at receiver is only because of Ginn's ability to quickly learn NFL routes and get better with them each year.
Imagine if we had a QB who could hit him in stride? How much bigger his numbers would be each year?
Not to mention he makes plays all the time whenever he has the ball in his hands...
Stop bashing on Ted Ginn, he's an above average NFL player with potential to be an elite receiver in the right system/right QB
And anyone saying "oh well since he was drafted #9 he should be better" is also being ridiculous.. Do you not remember the coach that made that decision almost had the worst year in NFL history?
one last thing.. All you ginn bashers don't remember the reverses last year? Or the kick and punt returns the year before?? If not for the holding calls nowhere near the play, HE WOULD HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED TOP 3 RETURNER IN THE LEAGUE (He still is considered top 3 by many) with how many he brought back for TDs.... he's already shown ridiculous return potential even though we don't risk him much on returns anymore
