Let your defense carry the load. Play conservatively. Take what the defense gives you. It's no sin to kick or to throw the ball away when there's nothing there. Don't take chances that could result in a turnover. Stay with the run even if you're only getting two yards a crack; it'll open up at the end of the game. Play a lot of man coverage. Pressure the quarterback. Let the defense win it for you.

Sound familiar?

It is December. If this was truely Wannyball, we would be the ones that lost 21-0.

We don't have the talent on offense to put the game on their shoulders.
The only way we can win is by playing solid defense, and solid special teams.

we went for it on 4th and 1 didn't we? Wanny wouldn't have had the balls for that.

We truly need an O-Line. Ours is on the brink of being horrible.

What are you talking about? The O-line has been solid for 8 games now.
Turn the page, buddy.

Sorry, but the O line thing was the number one, accepted, whine during the Culpepper days. Haven't you heard, it's no longer in fashion, and hardly anyone whines it anymore. You see with a living QB the line is fine. Try the new stock whine, it's something about the recievers and the D always bailing Harrington out.

Apparently Wanny may have been on to something there. The entire team played mistake free football and we shut out the Pats. Quit complaining!

If you truly believe that our offensive line is fine, and is not probably the weakest unit on our team, then you need to go back to football 101.

Sorry but they have not been able to do that this year...they been behind for most of the games this year...

But you have to say Nick has been the Anti Wanny...Why... read on...

With Wanny from 2000-2003, they ran an avg of 497 times a season, passed 445 times as season...with Nick they have ran 324 times this season and passed 491...

Just that this Defense is playing as good as any of the ones Wanny had during that time..and...

Wanny only had 3 loosing seasons against winning teams during that time. He was 14-18 (.44%) against winning teams. His 1st winning season was to happen 3 years into his HC job (2002) with Ricky at the helm...

Saban has been 4-3 (in 05) and currently 3-3 against winning teams this season. That is a 7-6 (.54%) record in the last 1 1/2 years...

Now, Wanny was almost perfect against lossing teams, something that Saban has strugled to break .500...

So lets recap...

Wanny's team played excellent against loosing teams...
Saban's team has played averaged against them...

Wanny's team played poorly against winning teams...
Sabans team has played well against them..
