..., being forgetful to ask any of my visitors and having a busted TV in my room, I now stand clueless...thus my question: If our Dolphins beat the much hated Jills, will we automatically become a playoffs team? (God I hope the answer is YES). Thanks.
 
We still would need a Denver loss.

So to answer your question, no, even with a Saturday night win, we won't know until Sunday evening if we are in the playoffs or not.
 
All the reports say a Win for us and a loss for Denver this week clinches our spot in the playoffs.

The Chiefs in Arrowhead will not (at all) be a cakewalk for Denver. Cool deal.

Now, if both our squads win thier respective games, what then of our Dolphins - what senario must unfold for our Dolphins to be declared a playoFF team?? Thanks!

Miami clinches a playoff berth with:
MIA win + DEN loss or tie OR
MIA tie + BAL loss + DEN loss + HOU loss or tie OR
MIA tie + BAL loss + DEN loss + TEN loss or tie

Get well soon and hope you have some hot nurses working the recovery floor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miami is in the playoffs if Miami wins and Denver loses that's it. Week 17 wouldn't matter
 
Also, MIA clinches in week 17 if they beat buffalo AND New England no matter what any other team does. Which would appear to be quite possible as the Pats play the jets this weekend - if they win that game they have clinched HFA and IMO would be stupid to play their starters against us.

As others have said, we beat Buffalo and the road gets clearer. Miami win and Denver loss gets us in. Hopefully we win Saturday and give you something to celebrate while you're home bound. Get well soon buddy.
