I've been wondering this and will somebody help me?

Do we really want to keep winning games and keep getting a lower draft pick?

Or should we try to lose the games so we can get a higher draft pick. Please dont bite my head off for this question, im just wondering. But it seems more realistic if we lose so we can get a higher pick like young,lienart,quinn...

Something like that

Input anybody?

IMO you want to win as many games as possible. We've already played ourselves out of the Leinart/Bush draft lottery area. That's the only possible reason to root for a lousy record. Once you get into the middle of the first round there are too many variables like which juniors declare.

Winning inspires winning. Just look at the divergent results of the Dolphins and Bills games today. Those efforts were at least partially a residue of the outcome of last week's game. The devastating loss took a toll on Buffalo's psyche this week and gave Miami new confidence.

You want those wins piled up going into next year. If you look back 30+ years, a 7-win team has more of a chance to make the playoffs the following year than a 6-win team, a 6-win team more chance than a 5-win team, and so on.

Nice fumble Ronnie, you bozo. I've got my over 5 season wins wager riding on this outcome. Be nice to get it out of the way today even though the sportsbook won't pay off until after 16 games.

wheres your dolphin pride, im shocked to hear this bs, wow screw the draft win now are you areal phin fan, everthing rolls on wins and attitudes, i cant beleive the talk of tanking to get a draftpic who may or may not thrive in the nfl. Theres always plenty of talent in the drafts

yes, losing on purpose would never be wise... losing is poisonous and infectuous... and there's no guarantee that the No. 7 overall pick is going to be a lock over the No. 17 pick in terms of long term productivity.....

as for futures, i also got all over Miami at 5+... and i'm nailing the Jets under ... (joy joy)

but ive lost badly on Indy under 11.5

at this point keep winning. Aim for 8-8. There are so many bad teams even if we lost out we are still picking 15th

At this point, every win builds the confidence of the team for the future. With today's win, we have a legitimate shot at 8-8, which would validate the system that Saban is trying to build.

I hate to quote somebody associated with the Jets, but Herm Edwards really did put it best:

YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME

we wont get a chance at top talent no matter what so just root for us winning

and he is a MORON so don't go quoting him often.

About this, he is a genius. In fact, it's sort of the Forrest Gump effect -- this is so damned obvious that I think it takes a guy like Herm to recognize the beautiful and simple truth.

You absolutely want to win. Winning has a way of becoming infectious. Isn’t it amazing how the good teams always find a way to win close games? That’s not an accident.

I don’t want to be one of those teams that always seems to have a high draft pick but never translate that to success on the field.
