Ive figured it out, everyone who keeps complaining about the picks...

One of the things that Saban said he wanted was a starting QB, a vet. backup and a developmental guy...do you see Sage as the developmental guy ?? I sure don't...if he couldn't beat out Ears, how can he beat anyone else we have out ?? A QB somewhere would be great...in fact, If we took McPherson in the 5th, I'd be real excited. However, I certainly wouldn't be dissapointed if we don't pick him or any other QB up.

Want a QB! At least the majority, I can understand some grumbling over the latest pick, but Corner/S IS a need for us.. and Travis carried a 2nd round grade I believe..

But it seems most of the outrage is of people holding out hope for a QB..

First it was Smith/Rodgers.
Then it was Frye/Walter.
Now it was Orton.

Im seeing comments like, "We still have a QB who throws INT after INT!" with the rantings.. The thing people dont understand, none of the QBs in this draft are a clear improvement.. Why reach for a QB when you can get SOLID, potentially, GREAT picks in all the rounds?

You are correct my friend - why waste a pick on a QB? We would have selected Alex Smith had he dropped - but he didnt....Saban has really improved this team though free agency and the draft - everybody should be happy!!! Feeley may be ok with a line and a running game anyways - he has a great arm and he is athletic. He is probably a better prospect than anybody but Smith anyways.

I'm not particularly pleased with all the defensive picks, but I do realize none of the QBs available at our picks were worth our time.
