MARTY BALL *******. Say whatever you want but, Marty IMHO is the best coach available right now. The guy wins. Pure and simple. Id take Marty Ball over anyone else out there. And Im not even joking this time when I say Id take Dan Reeves as my 2nd choice. The guy has been involved in 9 of the 45 Super Bowls so far. Who else has that kind of experience with the big game..... nobody.

My 3rd choice would probably be Billick. The only thing that worries me about Billick is he has already won a Super Bowl and we all know there isnt a coach that has ever won it with 2 different teams. I would be concerned about his drive to win it all. Not only that, but one could argue that if it werent for Randy Moss, Brian Billick wouldve never been viewed an offensive genius and never gotten the Baltimore job. From there you could argue that if it werent for Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, Billick would be just another coach. I think the guy is a literal genius, holding an IQ around 160. I like that in a coach. But, Im just not sure he was ever all that good in the first place.

Marty Ball on the other hand has won wherever he has coached with many different groups of players. We could dominate with Marty. Bring in Brian to run the offense and let him clown the Jests by using a much superior QB in Matt Moore than what the Jests ever gave him to work with.

I don't know how serious you are, but I'd legitimately like to see Dan Reeves considered and I wouldn't be upset with Marty. If we're going to bring in a defensive, ground and pound coach, then at least get a guy with a proven track record who has only had 2 losing seasons in 22 years.

nice write up.

can we get a get real thread, we haven't had one all year? preferably on our qb situation, and the potential candidates for the position that people want?

Concerning your worries about Billick,

Players always make coaches look better. Brady and Manning come to mind, and there are many many more players that make their coaches look like geniuses.

Should get on this evening. I was kind of waiting to see what would happen with Fisher.

Marty Ball, then hire young schotty to run the D.......

NOT are you out of your ****ing mind?

Marty would be a good....regular season coach for us.
I like what Billick did with a subpar offense and personel on that side of the ball.
His motivation now could even be ...."why is nobody interviewing me!...I'll show them!" =)
I stand but wanting Billick, but apparently we won't even consider it.

OK sounds good. are you happy we missed out on fisher? Me personally, i am thrilled we didn't get him, he is what i call an over hyped coach, and the truth is, another poster brought it up in another thread, if it weren't for one of the biggest fluke plays of all time the music city miracle, fisher, as overrated as his resume is now, it is a lot worse.

you really think Dan reeves can still be successful in the NFL? he hasn't coached in a while.

I don't like Marty, he invented taking your foot off the gas with a lead. Reeves has been away a very long time and I seriously wonder if Marty or Reeves can develop a modern offense. we all know Billick why isn't coming.

It's pretty obvious now that anybody with any kind of head coaching pedigree is not coming here

Im dead serious.

Marty takes too much flack for his playoff record. People should just admit that not only has he had serious misfortune in the playoffs, but a lot of the reason he lost a good bit of playoff games was that he was coaching his way into the playoffs with inferior talent on his team. The guy WINS. Its that simple. He has won all his life. He isnt a complete dinasour and the man knows football better than anyone out there. Im sure he has 5 solid years of coaching left in him if ya need it.

And originally Reeves was a troll job last season, but if that guy were willing to take the job Id offer it to him. As long as he says he is fully healthy, why not? The guy knows how to coach and he WINS. 9 Super Bowls out of 45 and consider he hasnt been in the game for a few years means he was involved in about 25 percent of all Super Bowls there for a while. He was on a radio interview I heard the other day and he still has a grasp on the game and understands how it has evolved. He is currently working as an analyst for national radio during games.

Both of these men you know would be extremely hungry to bring home a championship. It would be one more homerun swing from two HOFers. What more would you want? Want to roll the dice on some inexperienced punk? Why? Why not go with a guarenteed winner?

Have you checked his regular season winning Pct. lately??? Hell...at this point I gladly take a PLAYOFF team with Marty over WHO???? ...oh...Coach Unproven...yeah that guy!
