Ive got two words for you.......

Have you checked his regular season winning Pct. lately??? Hell...at this point I gladly take a PLAYOFF team with Marty over WHO???? ...oh...Coach Unproven...yeah that guy!
Have you checked the post season? His dismal playoff record is much more than a couple bad breaks

Exactly. Id sign up right now if you told me Marty would get us 11 or 12 wins, a home playoff game that we are favored in, and we lose on some miserable blunder or stroke of luck by the opposition. It would be the best and most exciting season I have seen with this team since the Wrongstedt years.

MARTY BALL *******. Say whatever you want but, Marty IMHO is the best coach available right now. The guy wins. Pure and simple. Id take Marty Ball over anyone else out there. And Im not even joking this time when I say Id take Dan Reeves as my 2nd choice. The guy has been involved in 9 of the 45 Super Bowls so far. Who else has that kind of experience with the big game..... nobody.

My 3rd choice would probably be Billick. The only thing that worries me about Billick is he has already won a Super Bowl and we all know there isnt a coach that has ever won it with 2 different teams. I would be concerned about his drive to win it all. Not only that, but one could argue that if it werent for Randy Moss, Brian Billick wouldve never been viewed an offensive genius and never gotten the Baltimore job. From there you could argue that if it werent for Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, Billick would be just another coach. I think the guy is a literal genius, holding an IQ around 160. I like that in a coach. But, Im just not sure he was ever all that good in the first place.

Marty Ball on the other hand has won wherever he has coached with many different groups of players. We could dominate with Marty. Bring in Brian to run the offense and let him clown the Jests by using a much superior QB in Matt Moore than what the Jests ever gave him to work with.

So? You are over your Dan Reeves obsession? Hmmmmmm?

lmao, this isnt a discussion. this guy is not only the best coach out on the market but probably a top 5 coach in general. you can talk about his record in the playoffs but you have to understand that he made those teams WAY better than they actually were. Cheifs in 95 lost to the colts because of 3 missed field goals. He had a 13-3 team and number 1 seed with BONO at quarterback. This guy has had 2 losing seasons and has been to the playoffs pretty much every year.

people talk about jeff fisher as a good coach but his career doesnt hold martys jock.
Marty is the most underappreciated coach ever. He's the only guy i want, and the only guy these dolphins need. I say, **** a young don shula, go get the guy that should of been our coach back in 96. go get the guy that don shula hand picked for us. Marty shottenheimer, 68 years old, is ready for an opportunity. LETS GIVE IT TO HIM!

He'd be an awesome choice. Dude's still with it, he's a hell of a coach, and I have no doubt he'd build a hell of a team.

Real glad to see you mixing things up again WV. I'm not sure about how I feel about Marty Shot or Reeves. No doubt they are proven winners but my BIG concern is they won most of their games in a different era. A lot has changed in the last 5-10 years and I would be very concerned about their willingness to adapt. I freely admit I could be wrong...maybe I'm gun shy after Parcels forcing his 80-90's style down our throats.

Billick is a name I can get behind. I have seen him talking about the game and am confident he would adapt to the strengths of his team and would take advantage of the NFL's push to sell Offense. He directed a high flying offense in Minnesota. Yes he had Randy Moss, but what great coach doesn't have their rock stars. Do we knock Bill Walsh for having Rice and Montana...Belichek with Brady. None of these guys wins consistently without them.

So I'm with you on Billick. I reserve judgement on Marty and Dan by what coordinators they bring with them.... though I think it's highly unlikely you will see them coach again.

If we can have 2 coaches, one for regular season and one for post season!
