Im a huge homer and usually can talk myself into loving our drafts, but this year I just don't get it. I know that all the picks so far have been solid picks, but to start trading down with arguably the best talent on the board and missing out on some playmakers, but not trade down in the first? wtf is going on in that draft room? james is a solid pick and im not pissed that we picked him, but we could have traded down and still got him. Then with all the playmakers that were on the board during the second and we trade down not once but twice? im pissed off and confused. again solid and safe picks.... but come on....
let the hate begin

meh I loved last years. and look how that turned out. I'm meh on this one, so i'm thinking my barometer is off.

Maybe this year when everybody says they suck will end up being great...reverse polarity

James would not have been there beyond KC so no a trade down was not an option if they really wanted him.

You liked last year's draft that many rated an F???. This is 100% better already.

I think these picks can actually help next year.

This draft has been very workman like, nothing flashy. Right now the best pick is probably the division II guard. But again, he could have fallen another round.
James was a reach and we should have traded down, and I would have rather taken Tre Mason instead of Landry.
The team is following their draft board. I am concerned about our scouting department.
Farmer had more to work with, but he has made the most of his position. Hickey is playing it safe with mediocre players.
I want quality, not quantity.

Last yrs was decent but I was scratching my head at times. This yrs is has really good IMO.

Its amazing what can happen the GM & HC can get along and have a similar plan.

Like George Costanza doing the opposite of his natural instinct?

So you're mad we didn't trade down and angry we traded down?

This has been a solid draft.

We still have not addressed our LB situation. Wheeler is a dumpster fire. We have no run defense. Without good linebackers, more of the same next year.

I know the picks are solid like I said, im just questioning why we didn't pick up a pick from james. I know all of these guys will start day one. just questioning the moving with some te's on the board and some good backs. Ill be over it tomorrow. just had to vent

Which is what we need the most imo. We don't have that spark to our team.
