When we drafted him, I said, "JD Who?". I thought he would just be camp fodder. He stated that he wasn't thinking about a Pro career and was trying to get into Veterinary school when word came that the Phins had selected him. I think he might have to put a hold on his plans to be an animal doc. To my, hopefully I am not the only one, pleasant surprise he has been productive when given oppurtunities in the preseason. I don't think he will make the 53-man roster, but I can definitely see him being stashed on the PS. He is a little undersized for our scheme, but with a little added size who knows? Just goes to show you to always be prepared when an opportunity presents itself.

I think he might make the practice squad as well. No way he beats out Kershaw, but he might make PS.

If we even keep a fourth inside linebacker, it would probably be Kershaw, not Folsom. Give him a year to train and maybe he can make an impact next year.

Yeah I agree. The kid can play. Give him a year developing on the PS and go from there.

He could make more money as a veterinarian than on the practice squad. Probably anxious to get to school unless he thinks there's a real chance for an NFL career.

He's shown something. Hope he sticks with it. It would be a hell of a find if he works himself into an NFL LB.

I think the approach they are taking with Folsom is quite refreshing.... taking 6th/7th rounders who are smart playmakers who may not quite have the size, or... they have the size and measurables, but... maybe someone like Hilliard need more refinement with technique...

so they think.. ok.. this kid wont play this year but he could develop... so lets stash him on the practice squad and then the following year, who knows...

Interesting...

Yes I like the underdog guys and hope this guy sticks but it does look like a practice squad guy...I just hope he makes it after that 24 hour window to be put on the squad after the last cuts...

Let's be honest here guys ... he was drafted because we put the franchise tag on Flipper. That mascot is irreplacable, and we all know how Sparano likes guys who can fill multiple roles.
