Opinions? Me I'd rather see more Wake.

Dolphins | J. Taylor unsure about returning in 2010

Barry Jackson, of the Miami Herald, reports Miami Dolphins DL Jason Taylor said Tuesday, Dec. 22, he does not know if he will return in 2010 and that the decision will be up to the team if they want to keep him.

I say keep him and let Porter go. We can use JT in a bunch of ways and he is a good veteran presence in lockerroom.

Still need to draft 2-3 LB's in the draft.

Yeah.

Let Porter go and keep JT one more year to play in spot duty, and to teach the new OLB we are going to draft.

I think we're going to draft more defensive players than offensive players this year, so he would be a good mentor to all the young defensive draftees, not just the OLB's.

Am I the only one that thinks we should keep porter? i mean hes not having as good of a year as last year but nobody on are defense is as far as LB's. he has played pretty good lately. i dont know what his stats were but a few times he was in making plays on CJ.

No. Where was Porter on the pass rush when Vince was torching us? He was MIA which is common with him. Let him talk it up elsewhere.

well in all reality and keep in mind i am a huge cam wake fan he's not ready to start yet. get more playing times yes but start no. porter right now is better overall than wake or anyone else we have at OLB

Joey Porter has 26 tackles in his last 7 games. in JT's last 8 games he has 21 tackles. Joey Porter has 1 more sack in 1 less game. to say porter has been far worse than JT is a bit rediculous

I'm not a big fan of Porter right now, just like most of you, but before last season, his highest sack total was 10.5. He's only 2 and a half sacks from getting his 2nd highest sack total, and that was after having a really, really ****ty 1st half to the season. So he's not really doing that bad, I guess.

exactly, i think we were all spolied after they year he had last year

In that Tennessee game, I kept seeing Jason Taylor everywhere. He was continually making plays, holding the edge. I thought it was one of his best games all season. I would be really surprised if he isn't asked to stick around another year. A healthy JT is our best overall LB on our squad in my opinion. And you see him standing next to Sparano for basically the entire last two offensive drives? Told me that he's a leader on that sideline as well as on the field.

Porter is decent just not worth the money

JT is almost as good but for far cheaper and does not run his mouth.

If we can get someone to play strong side we are good...

Wake could easily play weak side..its not like Porter is all that good against the run..

But I dont know how wake is a in 2 point stance he has not rushed that often from that posistions so we have to hold our horses a bit there..I dont think i have ever seen him to it actually..

We need LB's that can cover!!!! We def need a strong side guy who can do that...

Too bad about Roth..I think he was the one who could have done that for us for years to come o well..but anywho...

JT and Cam Split at weakside..get a real strongside LB

I dont like Porter or Taylor. Get rid of them both. There to old.

The orignal plan IMO was to use Taylor more as a situational pass rusher this year than full time the way it ended up and thats the way you want to play the guy to get the most milage. Unfortunantly no body else stepped up to make that happen this year see Roth, Wake, Anderson and others. In fact our olb core is made up of a bunch of situational guys and that needs to change. I expect some new young blood via the draft this year unless we really stike in free agency. If the draft happens then you want a Taylor around for a guy to learn from and to spell the kid occasionally. Taylor full time is not going to work I believe he and his body is realizing that right now. I personally want him around heck of a guy, players role model etc. BUT the team needs to maximize his talents and make sure he is a situational players not a full time guy. Parcells is way over due in the draft for a first round pick not to be used on a linebacker regarless of our needs at WR, NT and S.

I'm kinda mixed on JT nowadays he's getting pretty old and it seems we had alot more pressure on the QB's last year without him...not to mention all the screens that have been eating us up this year. JT used to be great at sniffing those out. I think he's just getting older while the team is getting younger. Would be great if he was around to get a ring if we do make it in the next few years wish Zach was here too really miss that guy but what can you do, we have to move on eventually.
