Of course Smith is in town and the others we contacted are in the article. Also mentions these guys but didn't sy we spoke with their agents. (Michael Oher, Eric Winston, Ryan Harris, J’Marcus Webb and Chris Williams.)

### Right tackle: Zach Strief remains by far the best unsigned player at the position, and the Dolphins called his representation earlier in the week, expressed interest in Strief and spoke of setting up a visit. But Strief had been committed to a banquet in Cincinnati and was unable to take any visits.

As of noon Thursday, there had been no visit scheduled with Miami. But if Miami re-engages with Strief (certainly quite possible), he would have interest in having discussions with the Dolphins. The leaguewide sense has been that he prefers to return to New Orleans, but the Saints and Strief haven’t been able to come to an agreement. And he is now receptive to talking to other teams.

### Guard: Shelley Smith is visiting with the Dolphins tonight after visiting with the Patriots at this hour, and his camp is hopeful there will be an offer from Miami. The good news: PFF.com ranked him 21st among all guards for 2013, and fourth as a run-blocker. But he has started just eight games over the past two seasons.

Miami has called to express some level of interest in several other guards, including Daryn Colledge and Wade Smith and center/guard Even Dietrich Smith. Davin Joseph remains a possibility. Figure on the Dolphins signing at least one veteran guard.

I really don't want to have to go the first two rounds of the draft on the OL, so I think we should be after 2 more free agents. This is assuming they don't have the confidence in Dallas Thomas to start him

To me it's almost foregone conclusion Wade Smith will sign in Miami. Just makes to much sense.

he should be in camp to compete for sure...and hopefully someone with more upside and youth would be able to beat him out...but in camp to compete for sure...i would be signing him for one year cheap

i think he is their fall back position if they can not land a younger , quality guard. At least i hope so. Would be an upgrade over anyone we have there now.

I think he comes in no matter what to compete with Dallas thomas and at the worst to be a utility guy on the oline. Options are slim, kind of have to sign him IMO.

This staff seems to be big on getting there rookies right in the mix of things in year 2. That's why I think Dallas will get a legit shot.

With a Brand new OL coaching staff everybody better come to compete.

New Orleans doesn't have the money to re-sign Streif at this point. I know he's the most highly thought of RT broadly speaking, but is he scheme fit, and is really any good?

Who in the hell would commit to a banquet the first few days of free agency.
