Did every one else see how Jake kept getting beat by Chris? Just wasn't Jakes day yesterday I guess but Chris made him look slow and Clumsy?
Thoughts?
 
It's already been established that Jake is better at run blocking than pass blocking, for right now.
 
He beat him once that I counted, and got stuffed the rest of the afternoon. Keep in mind Jake was playing with a twisted ankle.
 
How many sacks did Chris have? I think one, and it was that busted play where it wasn't Jake's fault. Was Jake dominant? No, but he did fine.
 
chris long had one tackle and one pressure that i counted. no sacks awarded. advantage jake.
 
I thought the match was a draw. Chris didn't get a sack on Jake and keep in mind that Jakee was playing on a bum ankle.

It looked like that ankle caved on him or something on that play. It just didn't look right. Jake the Giant is doing a good job playing through this.

that one play was initially called a sack, but was later corrected to be a run by Chad, as there was no intent to pass on the play.

Jake did get beat once or twice, but that's gonna happen. Chris Long isn't a bum.

We are thinking of a different play were Chris went by him. Maybe Chad did get a throw away on that particular play I was talking about above. Been a long night with no sleep. To excited about a shot at the division to sleep:lol:
 
Oh...and also there was another play where Chad go hit pretty good Chris Long, and I said to myself, people are going to dog Jake for that one. Problem on that one was that there was heavy pressure from right up the middle, causing Chad to drop further back than he would have and Jake rode Chris right into him. But without that pressure up the middle, Chad settles in the pocket and CL is a non-factor on the play.
 
I actually think Chris got beat. Jake didn't give up one sack against him and he seemed to block him well all day.
 
I can't imagine playing LT on a sore ankle, talk about a no-win situation
 
I think Chris got beat and beat pretty bad. He was pretty much invisible most of the afternoon. 1 pressure and 1 tackle throughout the contest?? It seems like Jake definately won that matchup.
 
Aside from one play, Jake handled Chris Long pretty well. Jake has had those "rookie moments" at times this season, but I can't recall one game where he was just "completely owned."
