BIO: Awarded the 2003 Rimington Trophy as the nation's top center and also named both an all-conference and All American lineman. Two-year starter at center who spent his sophomore campaign at right guard.

POSITIVES: Tough, durable blocker that controls the line of scrimmage. Smart and plays heads-up football. Effectively uses body positioning to wall defenders from the play. Has a bit of nastiness to his game, works to finish blocks and goes hard until the whistle blows. Explosive off the snap, plays with good pad level and efficient. Jolts defenders at the point, strong and opens holes in the middle of the field. Blocks with excellent balance and rarely off his feet. Effective with the shot gun snap and has done some long-snapping in the past.

NEGATIVES: Not light on his feet or effective on the second level. A bit stiff and though he can slide laterally, not a lineman with great blocking range.

ANALYSIS: As tough as they come, Grove is a competitive blocker with the ability to play several positions up front. Combining strength, intelligence and high personal character, Grove is not a flashy prospect but gets the job done and should quickly move into a starting role at the next level.

maybe if he didn't work out at center he could slide over to guard.

I'm not completely sold that Satele is out as our starting center

our running game is looking like it might be pretty decent next year.
We got some depth going on!!!!

They sure make him out to be one "tough" cookie. It's a shame he's been as soft as charmin since entering the NFL....

IN TUNA WE TRUST....

This is great news. it gives the phins much more flexibility in the draft. We may even be able to address the wide receiver position on day 1!

This definatley gives us flexibility in round 1....i have a feeling now we will go with the best available player from any of three positions LB (inside or out), DB, or WR

Wow makes you wonder if he's gonna be a guard or a center.....It's never really a sure thing until after the draft...

maybe now around a good offensive line (unlike the raiders line) he might actually show us his potential, i like the signing even though i am a satele fan... competition is key

lets hope they slow down on this wildcat and just play some serious hard nose football, and when your up on an opponent dont let them walk right into the endzone anymore.. did anyone know i predicted that last play against texans during a commercial to other dolfans and what did the texans do..... walk right in a qb for that matter. what gave on that day.. i couldnt beleive how easy that was for the texans. I saw it why couldnt they??

I agree, and I have a feeling they (Satele & Grove) wil both show what they can do at center, and the one that loses will get a good shot at starting at guard.

I agree that we need to start playing hardnose football, but if the wildcat is working, you have the right personal to continue to be successful, why stop? With Grove this become a more hard nosed line, giving Ronnie or Ricky a chance to eventually break one all the way to the endzone.

He WILL play better for us. Get him up to 310-315 as I expect Sparano will want him to do, and he'll be even more of a force.
