Jake Grove to sit out Sunday

damn Grove is Ankle was seriously injured, its he's taken forever to heal.

High ankle sprains take awhile to heal, for anyone.. If you've followed sports for any reasonable amount of time, you would surely know that.

Bad High ankle sprains = not a pretty injury

It's one thing if it was a low ankle sprain.. But the high ones are killers.

I know that high ankle spains could take months to heal I had 3 bad ankle spains in my life. But I keep hearing that he was practicing with his ankle taped up so u would think he okay already and then now u hear he is still not ready to go so why is he practicing if he still needs to heal that ankle.

i had a high ankle sprain once when i played in high school and when i thought i was good enough to practice i hurt it again, all it takes is one play to roll it the wrong way or whatever and your back to the trainers room. So if he was practicing maybe he aggravated it. Its definately a nagging injury that takes awhile to fully heal.

So true! I had a high ankle sprain and felt pretty healthy and ready to go. Tried to toe touch an interception and re-rolled it and I was out for another month+. Ankle sprains are the most lingering annoyance.

Berger is doing a good job so there is no need to rush Grove back before he's 100%

Shows what a warrior he is seeing as how he wanted to come back into the game when he injured it...almost forcefully.
But I bet he could play if he had to, they just like how Berger is doing.

I don't think that the case. I do agree that Berger is doing a good job filling in but I think they are keeping Grove out until he's at 100%. Smart move. We need to get our guys healthy cus its realy killin us. Sorry the southern came out of me for sec.

I agree. I think Grove would at least be active as insurance if he were ready to play. Berger has played well so let's hope he keeps it up. And let's hope he makes it through the game because with Grove's injury we are thin at that position.

Injury prone Center. I was assured that the injury questions were bull****.

i was 'told off' on here when i said that. dude actually posted stats to 'show' how i didn't know what i was talking about. good stuff.

i'm just glad berger's doing so well in his absence. always good to have solid backups when 3/5 of your o-line has injury issues.

I hear you I said this when we signed him. This is a classic case of our FO's mentality of sign them on the cheap! They got cute with Jason Brown and he went to the Rams, so they had to sign Grove for almost the same guarantee's. That is why I have to laugh when people say our FO won't give a injury plagued player a contract, This guy has average missing over 4 games a year since he has been in the league to injury, and he is on pace for that again this year. It is not a upgrade at a position if the guy is going to be on the sideline during the playoff run! Now lets not even talk about his penalties this year!

Sorry for the vent, this guy just gets under my skin!
