Anybody else notice that on Henne's turnovers he had pressure right up the gut? It was pretty apparent that Buffalo was getting pressure right between Berger and Donald Thomas for most of the game....something that I haven't noticed for most of the season. Kinda hard to step up and throw the ball when we can't pickup the blitz or neutralize the other teams D-Tackles. Sure Henne had a bad game, but a few of those turnovers can be blamed on lack of pass protection and not squarely on Henne. I like Henne, I think he's going to be a good QB for us.

big time...I was at the game and said the same thing to my friends....Ricky couldnt hit the gaps up the middle because they closed to quick....most of the big gains were runs to the outside....Stroud was pushing through the middle....Grove was really misssed IMO..great observation

Berger was blasting cats for the run though. The interior penetration on the pass was because of the blitz. Not much an O-line can do about that and the O-coordinator and QB need to come up with an audible for it.

Buffalo took advantage of the situation and they made adjustments at half time. In the second half the blitzed on almost every play an in every passing situation and they came right over center and left guard. Buffalo was missing two starting linemen as well, but we didn't take advantage. Miami made no adjustments, never tried to roll the pocket (where Henne is excellent rolling to the right and throwing the ball).

Buffalo simply outcoached Miami here.

Bingo.

makes sense when our backup Center is playing against one of the best DTs in football Marcus Stroud.
