Richmond Webb was great, I just believe Jake brings a different dimension that webb didnt. Jake has that mean streak and is a great run blocker. Webb was better in pass protection for now.

For everyone that questions his pass blocking only needs to watch J.Peters (All Pro)getting eaten up by Porter even with help from the guard leading to a crucial safety. That was a Pro Bowler, so give J.Long some slack when he does a mistake here and there ( which to date has been very, very few ).

I agree Jake the Giant has been great. It's still a bit premature to say he's better than Richmond Webb. A couple of years from now we'll talk.

He's been more than solid for a rookie. He's having a pro bowl year. It's not easy to come in and play LT as a rookie I dont care where you were drafted.
I had a feeling some of the oldtimers would bring up some of the all-time greats, and I was right. But more importantly, they are right. But that should take nothing away from Big Jake.

You know I would like to add that Smiley has been impressive as well... He really can turn upfield when he pulls... Moves really well...
