After all HE was the undisputed leader of the O line when Martin came in as a rookie. I don't think he would have used Richie's colorful E mail's and racial tones but for sure HE was their leader and was deeply involved in the rookie hazing and trying to make a tougher man out of Martin
Maybe they played good cop bad cop and Richie ripped him while Jake encouraged him.

Good cop left and when Martin moved to LT Richie turned up the pressure. Martin wigged out.

Whatever i'm sure Jake name will be brought into it sooner rather than later.

There isn't a person on this Earth whose reputation has fallen so drastically in the span of a few months as Mike Pouncey.

Before this season, we all thought he was a smart stand up guy and a real leader. Then hat-gate, then gun running, then all this crap and we find out that he wasn't even the leader of the line some over grown frat boy was.

I wanted Jake back as much as anyone but I don't agree with this. IMO and until proven otherwise I fully believe Martin and his family talked about and planned this a while ago. This was going to happen no matter what. Martins demotion may have escalated this.

Pouncy is a great player but to me he always seemed like a go long with the crowd kind of guy. Not very assertive. After Jake left Ritchie verbose personality probably dominated the group.

Maybe post Long leaving Martin decided to take advantage of the situation and starting gathering info on Richie and planning his well thought out agenda.
After all this timing was perfect (for him) right before two nationally televised games for maximun PR effect.

I believe his lawyer said it has happened to Martin since he has been in the league, so Long was maybe part of it also.
