Jake Long picked #59

Let Long walk... No sense tying up 15 mill a year in a LT.

Some of the recent SB winning LT's include such "studs" as Jermon Bushrod, Chad Clifton, and Max Starks.

Just because we missed on quarterbacks doesn't mean taking long was a bad pick. You all saw how bad it is having just one horrible piece on the line with columbo....besides who should we have taken instead? matt i get shut out in the playoffs even though i have all pros all over my offense ryan? Your stud QB can't throw passes if that stud QB doesn't exist in the first place. If the Steelers are the best example you got, then you just blew holes into your argument right there. They've had ****ty lines since Rothlisberger got there. It's nothing new. Sure hasn't stopped them from being one of the dominant teams in this league year after year winning 2 superbowls and making another.
 
Did Cameron Wake appear yet or did he already...I don't really pay much attention to this stuff.
 
Matt Ryan has never won anything. Jake long is awesome! Get over it!

Even if we had a stud QB and LT our play calling would never have gotten us to a SB.

Since when did Jake win us anything more than Ryan has for his team? Big Jake is one of my favorite players but you cannot win without a franchise QB in the NFL anymore, lets hope that Tannehill will be one, but we aren't going to win with a franchise LT without a franchise QB(hopefully Tannehill)
 
I want you all to look at this picture and notice that Matt Ryan is playing in the right stadium, but is wearing the wrong uniform.

I never get into the Long vs Ryan talk...

I see it as a waste of a convo since Long plays for the Dolphins and Ryan plays for the Falcons.

I don't care to talk about the Falcons tbh
 
Not really sure of the point of the debates of whether we should have picked Ryan or Long. Clearly a franchise QB is worth his weight in gold, so Parcells didn't want to take the chance of taking a QB number 1 rather than the safer choice of a LT, what is the point of debating it now? If Ryan had went to ourselves we simply don't know how it would have worked out, he could have hurt himself with a career ending injury, he could have struggled with a useless LT, but the bottom line is we just don't know.
