I just heard on Sportscenter that the Dolphins only sent 1 scout to Jake's Pro Day and St. Louis sent a whole ton of scouts there. Smoke screen by us trying to get teams to think were not interested or are we really not interested? Smoke screen by St. Louis?

yea i heard st. louis had dinner with him and everything i hope its a smoke screen for us because i really want him

I heard somewhere that he will do a special workout for the Dolphins besides his pro day

it only takes 1 scout...considering he probably has a dozen scouting reports and film on him...do we need more than 1 there?

Maybe we are just so sure we are taking him already, why waste man-power up there.
I hope anyway. =)

It's not a smoke screen... we are not taking a tackle with the #1 overall pick.. this is a deep draft at OT and we can take one in the second round.

Chris long or Vernon gholston is the pick if we stay #1 and I am betting it is Gholston.

Could be right, could be wrong.

Read the story for yourself;

They saw him at the combine...they have enough tape on him...and they are going to have a private workout...so what more do you want.

Thanks for the link.
Ben Dogra, who works for super agent Tom Condon and is one of Long's representatives along with Condon, said the Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons are scheduled to come to Ann Arbor for private sessions with Long before the draft.
It seems reporters constantly leave important information out of their stories.
...the St. Louis Rams - sent its offensive line coach to UM to run Long's drills yesterday.

A lot of this has to do with how much film you have on somebody. A guy like Long has been an All Big-10 OT for 4 years, and an All American for 2. There's a lot of film on him, and you have private workouts.

Vernon Gholston you'll see more scouts at because he got most of his production as a Sophomore late in the season, and a good season this year. So 1.5 years of tape probably isn't enough to evaluate him. Plus, a lot of teams look at him as a 3-4 OLB. You want to see how he'll actually do instead of trying to project him to something he isn't.

IMO BP will draft a Defensive guy he always has with the first pick (not always but you know what i mean) I think we should take Chris Long and get an OT with our 2a pick
