I'm hearing conflicting reports about why Jake Long is on the PUP list, espn and some other media outlets say its actually because of his knee? And if this is true is this the same knee injury he suffered against dallas in the pre-season last year and its still lingering? I would think he is on pup because he is recovering from shoulder surgery, can anybody confirm what is the exact injury that put him on the pup list and is this a concern?

Miami coach Tony Sparano hopes Long (knee) will be able to play Week 1, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports. (about 3 days ago)

I also heard it was the knee and he has a big brace on it at camp.

If its the knee that is a huge albatross across Sparano's neck. He played Jake in a meaningless pre-season game when he was tinkering with the line last year and he blew out the knee. I hope his career isn't shortened by this.

knee shoulder if it lingers its noot good...hopefully just precautionary

If I were being honest, I'd venture a guess that the reason that he's on the PUP list is roster related and not injury related. Teams will sometimes throw players on the PUP to get an extra roster spot through camp, and it isn't like Long needs camp to be effective.

So when is someone gonna make Sparano accountable for forcing Jake Long last season??

Into playing scrub games and screwing his shoulder or knee??

How do we knoe this is not the real reason for the pup inclussion??
