He may be perceived as damaged goods by some...and with a steep contract.

We have enough holes in the oline already. He will be back this year.

Then the perception is based on ignorance. None of his injuries have been serious and none should affect his level of play.

I was fully for the drafting of Jake Long and have not been disappointed at all. Great player,good guy.You do not trade him.

He is not injury prone. I fully remember some jack*** coach that finally got ran out of town left him in for garbage time in a preseason game no less to prove a point and he got hurt against some third stringers. He also played injured that season with a brace on his shoulder and knee. Not to mentioned he would have played all of this season injured if he had not been but on IR.

NO, that was Jake DEMANDING he play at the end of 2010 because he has contract bonuses he wanted to reach. DON'T blame tony for that. And playing injured is WHY Jake has a laundry list of injuries now. Serious injuries

Jake is one of the 'Guys,that Philbin specifically said he wants.HIGH character...High motor...and cares more about WINNING,than personal stats.He's disciplined,and gives MAXIMUM effort........in essence,Jake Long = BEST TACKLE IN THE NFL!!!
