Jake Long vs. Matt Ryan - Any thoughts

As I get ready to watch the Falcons on Superbowl Sunday. Met many dolphin fans at the NFL experience in Houston. Took a customized picture of the ticket to 1972 SB game with my family.

A great event. Just wish my team was playing today. I would have been at the game.

But I still remember; Parcels lecturing all the dolphin fans on the need of a good O line and going for Jake Long. Matt Ryan was available. Would our path have been different with Matt Ryan?

Somehow I feel a good QB would have changed our trajectory as much as a good coach; and we had neither for a long while.
 
seriously this game can't be over quick enough. how many times have people brought up Matt Ryan since the playoffs started
 
We took the wrong guy, like we have for many years. Accept it and move on.
 
Stick boy would be out of the league already if we picked him. Our Olines would have made sure of that.
 
We had 2 shots at Brees and another at Rodgers yet still people whine about Melty Ice??? Is there another qb in NFL history that has done so little with so much talent surrounding him? The loss today should serve as a reminder of who Matt Ryan really is.

Sounds like people want Matt Ryan to lose even against hated New England so that they can still stick by that Jake long was the right pick. Really sad
 
It also could have been Chris long. I loved Big Jake and always will.

If it wasn't for sparano continuing to play him injured in a losing season he would be a HOF!

Or maybe they're tired of people over hyping Matt Ryan while trashing Ryan Tannehill even though they're fairly similar quarterbacks. If we took Matt Ryan we'd be no different than we are today as we don't have nearly the same quality of supporting cast as the falcons have consistently had.
 
About the same as the last 10 times in 2 weeks that this question has been asked.

Revert back to the well above league average QB he has always been? Sounds awful. Feel bad for Atlanta.
