Sampson had a terrific rookie campaign and is a good young building block to help us get our o-line together. I can't imagine someone having an issue with him unless they are anti-simoan or something of the like.
 
I'm a big fan of Houcks but part of the blame for the patchwork line is his fault. It is my understanding Alabi and Toledo were handpicked by him in the draft and neither is still with the team (Toledo had injury problems in college so it should not have been a surprise he couldn't stay healthy in the pros).

Maybe the Fins will pick Samson's brother Hercules this year and play him at guard

Side note: Isn't it sad when a fan has to use a pic of a team's 5th wide reciever as their sig b/c this was the biggest offensive play all season! Not a shot at you of course just a sign of how bad we were last year!
 
Satele is the best thing to happen to the Dolphin's offensive line in a long time. We haven't had a consistant starting center since the days of Langer and Stephenson, our last pro-bowl centers by the way. The best of the following centers was Ruddy and he was just average and struggled at times. The rest including Hadnot were not worth mentioning.
Maybe with the center position locked down we can finally get an offensive line that can develope cohesion and chemistry. You can never have a decent offensive line if you have a center constantly being pushed back into the QB and virtually being a turnstile, but that is JMO.

Michigan OT Jake Long was the talk of the Combine on Thursday. Long was measured at 6-7 313 and displayed a very tight-solid build which is rather rare for a lineman his size. Long has 11" hands and his arm measurements were just as impressive being 35 3/4" which is just what NFL scouts look for in a lineman. Even though Long has yet to perform the workout part of Combine, he surely passed the eyeball test on Thursday.

Added note...Long had the most reps with 37 of all OL prospects.

I have a sneaking suspicion parcells might just take this guy.

that writer also says some stuff about chris long and mcfadden.
