Props to him for having an excellent game tonight. He looked a little over-matched early, but he really locked in and by the end of the game was just killing everyone on that Colts defense. You can say "well Freeney was hot and tired" but Long played 81 snaps and was still a total monster at the end of the game. Anybody else want to say he's a bust now?

Why go there when our QB cant throw for 10 yards and Matt Ryan is on fire? He will always be judged by what Ryan does, period.

I like JL but he actually got tossed around several times tonight, and one time the imminent sack was saved by the double team.

He made one bad play, and that was giving up on Freeney on the one play where Pennington was sacked after rolling out and then running back inside the pocket. Though in Long's defense, i don't know what the hell Pennington was doing there. Don't know what game you were watching if you think he was "tossed around". I know there was one play where Dwight Freeney spun into him and kind of knocked him backwards. That's about it.

long is far from a bust, but at times his footwork is awful. He did play very well at times though. Not sure why he took the rest of the play off when smiley took the man in front of him. He was basically standing around doing nothing while his guy sacked the qb.

Back to his footwork, how many times is going to fall on his azz backwards making a block

Jake did great! Leave him be! Indy was going to be picking on him after all the talk last week. Can any of you keyboard jockeys do any better?

got knocked on his can 3x's in the 1st-half...Smiles told Fat Tony to allow him to assist on pass blocks...Long better get a truckload of Prep-H...his anus is gonna get worn the 'f' out before years end!!

I'm not comparing him to Ryan since Ryan would be a different player with us than he is in Atlanta. If we'd taken him, he'd have Vernon Carey or who knows protecting his blindside. There's no way to predict how he'd have performed with us given how different our line would be.

Now comparing Henne to Ryan, Flacco, and now Sanchez...

I didn't like this either. Thats the rollout play i was talking about. I don't know why he just gave up, but he can't be doing that. He's making the big money on the offensive line to be the cornerstone tackle, he should be setting an example by NEVER giving up on a play. Laziness will not be tolerated, i hope Sparano gets him on that one.

Obviously there's not much difference in having Jack Long or Vernon Carey on the left side...

They both need help.....

Congratulations Miami....you've selected an offensive tackle that can't pass protect without help with the #1 overall pick...

The play started out promising with a good cross block from Smiley and then Long became a spectator

Well he's only given up like 5 sacks in his career so i'm not sure i'd say that.
