Jake "The Giant" Long ... Well Done!!!

Wanted to give a shout out to Mr. Jake Long. He started off the season a bit shaky and most of us here were down on him. It was mentioned through the team a few times that it was more about timing than anything else from both the linemen and Sporano. Well it seems like the issues with timing with the o-line (specifically Grove) are starting to get ironed out and he once again seems to have returned to the ELITE left tackle we grew to love last year. He played a hell of a game last night vs Peppers and he deserves a hand of applause. Well done good sir! :up:

Ditto. He was a beast in the running game and not bad in pass protection.

His only bad game this year was Week 1 against Atlanta, he's been lights out this season. I think he's staying in Miami to attend his second Pro Bowl this year. He definitely deserves it in my opinion.

is it safe to say we have richmond webb all over agian quite possibly the first ten years of his career in the pro bowl, talk about hitting on a draft pick, both webb and long, how many sacks as he allowed since week 1

IMO Long has been up and down in a number of games -- at times absolutely dominant in the run game and then not so much. His pass protection is never going to be stellar -- he just doesn't have the nimbleness to handle speed guys.

He's playing solid but not what I believe you would hope from a #1 pick in the draft.

Long is a stud. Period. While he may have difficulties with the smaller and faster guys, with experience he will develop his own signature kick step and prove to be worth every bit of the money we spent on him. The offensive line, especially the left tackle on a right handed qb, is very hard to learn to play right out of college. I would put that up there with learning the wideout and maybe even the qb position.

Oh! Now it's Ryan regressed! All I have heard on this site was how Ryan was doing good because he had a running game, Gonzo, and a bunch of weapons. Now it's all his fault! You guys take the cake. Why so many Ryan haters on here? I was at the game Thursday night among thousands of Dolphins fans tailgating for hours. Everyone I talked to wished we had drafted Ryan. I think there's a community somewhere you all live in, maybe MARS! Lol! Great Job Jake!!!
