Miami drafted RB Jalen Parmele in 2008 and tried to smuggle him onto the Practice Squad but was subsequently claimed by Baltimore. Since then he has been well trained but buried on the depth chart. With Baltimore recruiting Ricky Williams as an RB backup to Ray Rice, is there any merit in going after Parmele? He's probably low cost and maybe better than either Hilliard or Sheets.

I would not mind getting him back, but unless you want to give something up in a trade, I do not see the Ravens releasing him.

Logically I would say no and I could be wrong.
Here are my 2 reasons 1st they stole him from our practice squad bascially meaning he was not ready at that point and to my understanding has not played that much since. 2nd If he was that good now I do not believe that they would have signed our Ricky Williams.

Your logic is sound but some of these guys that have been buried on depth chart are burning for the chance to play. He really hasn't had a chance. Ireland/Parcells probably saw something to draft him in 5th round.

i believe that year we drafted parmele and hilliard. hilliard is likely to make the roster and parmele has been 3rd or 4th string on the ravens since they signed him off our practice squad. hilliard is a valued special teams contributor and a back up at halfback and fullback. we have daniel thomas and reggie bush. that leaves nic grigsby and kory sheets. i really don't see us having any interest in parmele (barring injury) if he were a street free agent, let alone acquiring him from the ravens for compensation of some sort.

He is an upgrade from Hilliard. I remember Parmele housed one for about 60 yards in preseason years ago and was ahead of Hilliard on the depth chart. Was disappointed to see Baltimore claim him.

It's bad enough we're Acid Refluxing Dallas' garbage, now we've gotta regurgitate our own trash too?

He couldn't crack the starting line-up of Miami and Baltimore why would things be any different the second time around?

And what has he done with his 30 or so carries in the past two years that you even begin to acess his talent level compared to any of the backups we have? This is just pure nonsense to go along with all the why didn't we pick up all 600 available FA in the offseason and what about this palyer scenarios for players people just like and don't know squat about. Freekin Jalen Parmelee for Christ sake!!

Jalen Parmele looks to be the #3 RB on the Ravens, which isnt practice squad, meaning we cant get him anyway. Hes under contract, and I doubt we trade for him. Next...
