Jamal Adams?

The Jets will not trade their best player to the Dolphins
 
We traded Welker to the Pats for a second. Although to be fair it was a different situation, Welker wasn't an All-Pro player at the time of the trade.

Weirder things have happened, Hopkins for a negative asset and a 2nd is still crazier than this trade. If only Gase had the same power as Bill O'Brien.
 
Really good safeties are available in the Draft and they will probably be there in the 3rd and 4th round. Jamal Adams is terrific but will want to be paid. I would look elsewhere.

We didn't really trade Welker, the Pats compensated because he was a restricted free agent.
 
Jamal Adams is 24 years old and PROVEN. no one in college football is proven in the nfl.

Either we take an unproven safety with our 2nd round pick, or even #26, or we use it on a proven 24 year old.

I would offer the Jets a 2nd for him no doubt. We are getting a safety in the first 3 rounds anyway.

If they say no, i might offer #26.

If the top 4 OT's aren't there I'd be good with giving up 18. Take Josh Jones at 26.
 
Can they afford him? Dolphins are already paying 2 of the highest contracts for DBs. I would have him in a heartbeat but Jets trading us their best player? Hmm.
 
I’d trade a 6th rounder for him, because that’s about what that scrub is worth.

He’s should move to linebacker, he’s ok around the line of scrimmage. In coverage he sucks.
 
LOL lets trade away All Pro defensive back for 1st round pick to trade 1st round pick for high paid guy who should be All-Pro defensive back. Yup this actually sounds more like the Dolphins as I type it
 
I'm not one that is a fan of these "sign everyone's players" type of posts.

This time I'll admit I'd like to have this guy. I think he would fit in well with Flores. I think he is above average in his ability to read an offense.

I'd gmake a call and see what he thinks is a fair extension. That would have a lot to do with what I'd offer the Jets. Knowing Gase I'm thinking he would love to play for us and might do so at a bit of a discount.
