I came across a site where they list the top 100 college players of all time. Do you believe JF was rated # 94. I can't remember the site, and I cannot find it. I don't even know how I got there, but it was the type of site where you can spend hours reading college career highlights. I never realized what a beast JF WAS in college.

I think the site is www.wanny/speilman.com....:sidelol:

Jamar was considered by many as the best CB in College for 2 years!!!! He was a true shutdown corner..lite years better than Clements.....dont know what the hell happened though:confused:

I don't know if anyone remembers, but it was our 1st round pick at #26 where we had the option of taking Drew Brees or Jamar Fletcher. I thought we were going to take brees for sure, and i was so mad when we didnt. If we would have picked him then over Jamar Fletcher who did nothing for us except help us aquire david boston, haha, we would never have to worry about our qb problems anymore.

"GAZING INTO THE CRYSTAL BALL... Some will howl that I chose Fletcher over Smoot, but this guy has produced at a high level for years. If not for his lack of height, this kid would be hands-down a top ten pick. Just refer to Aaron Glenn's play in the NFL. Fletcher will be that good."

Im not gonna lie, while I hated drafting a CB at that juncture, I was totally sold on Fletcher's ability...Ive never seen such a reverse from a defensive player in my life!!! He was so dominate it wasnt funny..then became garbage...

by the way how's my buddy Lloyd Carr doing lately?? Glad to see you guys havent fired him yet:lol:

And Fletcher was an undersized zone CB forced into a man system.

yes, CC said he was by far the best CB hes ever faced. what happend was Jamar was pretty smart, and at Wisconsin they played all zone. He could read the plays well and react. when he came here, he was put out on an island by himself, as was Sam and Pat. he could never adjust, he just isnt a good man to man. He is one of the reasons why i believe jim bates was an overrated DC. he never could utilize Jamar like he should of been, nah, but they knew how to put Jamar on an island with RANDY MOSS!

now look at this year, we had a few rookie coaches, and when Howard was being burned like it was a rictual. They utilized his stregnths. playing him in more zone, as he is a good tackler. blizted him repeatally on the edge, and gave help to his side.
