Jamar Martin?

I'd love to take 5 of you that are criticizing the play of the offensive line, line you up, and send 8 men at you. See if you can pick up all 8 men, because that is what you are asking Miami's line to do by critcizing them even though on every single play they had, each lineman was blocking his man.

Hey, good to see you here KB. What's your assesment of the O-lines job last night?

They were outmatched, but they weren't beaten. The Bears were keeping their safeties close, and Mike Brown was able to make some good tackles because he was unaccounted for.

The first unit did a good job, I thought. It's going to be tough to run the ball until the team proves they can hurt teams for playing 8 in the box. I think the first unit allowed only one run where the runner lost yardage, and I put more of the blame on the runner in that instance. The runner has to be able to make that first man miss.

They were very good in pass protection though, and if we can get a running back that is willing to block in pass protection, we will be able to pick up those blitzes.

I was impressed with Rex, but I still think he's going to have problems when he's blocking on the second level. I think Vernon Carey was solid. I saw him get beat only once, and he recovered on the play. Jeno James was solid, much better in pass protection than he was last season. St. Clair was solid. McDougle was solid. Ogunleye didn't beat McDougle. He beat McMichael to get his sack.

Well after reviewing the game last night a few times I noticed Jamar Martin did what he usually does... made some sick blocks. Did anyone see him put Urlacher on his back! Which led to a beautiful run. What do you guys think about this guy? He has to stay on the team for sure! Probably the only guy on the team who can deliver a damn block.

It's only one problem with him. When he is in the game you can alomst bet it's a running play. Him not being a good reciever himself whatelse would a Defense assume? But he is a beast blocking. We need him to keep Ronnie healthy even Ricky....You think he got fleas in that beard?

I know what you are getting at KB however there were many times that each lineman was NOT blocking his man.
There were many instances where you saw 1-2 lineman blocking no one and just standing there because they were so confused on who to pick up. McDougle was one I saw get completely beat twice because of a simple twist stunt. The OL clearly wasn't ready for blitz packages last night.

Am I ready to say we are doomed at the OL position because of this? No, there's time for the OL to fix the problems they had and hopefully they'll be able to.
