Jamar Taylor and Will Davis ????

Way too early to say their both busts, they've had their injury problems in their rookie year. With Patterson being injured most of this year you would have thought we would have seen more of them though

they were both put in in the New Orleans game and BOTH torched by Graham...they need some more book time than field time anyway

torched by jimmy graham ? wow, i guess that was the first time he ever did it to an opposing player

Davis didn't shine in the preseason, he got lit up with the rest of the backup pass defense once he actually took the field. Where he had success was practice. I think he has the talent to shine in games eventually, but he didn't get enough field time in preseason to learn how to not be burned repeatedly like he was in that last game. If we had CB's the caliber of Reggie Howard in front of him, it may be worth running the risk of having him take his lumps, but for as much as Jimmy Wilson and Nolan Carroll are criticized, they aren't exactly giving up 50 yard pass plays left and right (which is not unlikely to happen with Taylor and Davis out there until they learn the ropes). We are and continue to be competitive with Wilson and Carroll so I wouldn't expect it to change.

Rookie CBs rarely are ready for the NFL right away, especially in this pass crazy league. Let them learn under Grimes and occasionally healthy Patterson. I'm perfectly fine with them sitting as long as Grimes and Patterson are getting picks and Carroll isn't getting beat too much. They might just be a nice surprise in a year or two

Everh CB's path is different but I've seen mid-rounders like Travis Daniels come in and hold their own right away, so its far from impossible.
