Jamarcus Russell...Daunte Culpepper.?.

i think with our ninth pick in the draft we should go 4 jamarcas russell (if not troy smith or brady quinn)i think we should do this and keep daunte....this may motivate daunte to step up his game for intruding youth(like a drew brees situation)..and if daunte does not play well we will trade him and then start russell ....wat do u guys think?
 
Troy Smith or Brady Quinn would be a big mistake. I'm against taking a QB in round one but if we do it had better be Russell and if not him, Brohm.
 
1st of all


Russell is going 1st pick to Oakland

Next Brady Quinn is going 2nd Pick to Detriot

and as for Troy Smith after what he has shown tonight he may be back into 2nd round territory.
 
If Brohm is there Which i think he might be now that his coach left.

We should Def get him and finally have a solid backup/Starter/Fins Future if DC doesnt pan out


then we can move on to SENOR MERIWEATHER in the 2nd haha
 
Ya lets take brohm. His numbers were certainly overwhelming this year and he just looked soooooo good in his bowl game. Give me a break, this guy is barely above average. Oh I know... he was hurt for awhile. So lets take injury prone, hurt players like we did last draft. GREAT IDEA.


if jmarc is gone, we had better not even draft a QB. sign a better backup than joey in case daunte doesn't come back. WE have plenty of other needs to take care of.

Troy Smith will be a mistake but not Brady Quinn. Right now, Quinn to me looks a lot like Leinart, who's a nice prototypical signal caller who uses his mind more than his physical abilities to win games ala Peyton Manning, and that means he could possibly drop to our spot.
 
Smith would be a good option in round 2 if Quinn/Russell/Brohm are gone, but those 3 should be our main targets atm. Colt Brennen could be a dark horse if he declares, but I think I will wait to see if he does before making any more predictions about him.
 
Brady I personally believe is the best QB in the draft and I cant see him OR Russell last till #9.......but I can honestly right now say I have NO IDEA how Miami will pick in the draft......but I will make my choice after the combine and I learn more about all the players lol
 
I thought this thread was equating JaMarcus to Daunte, which I would agree with, except JaMarcus doesn't have the speed Daunte used to possess. Russell is going to tease some poor franchise with flashes of potential and some gaudy boxscore lines over the next half-dozen years, without much in the way of winning.

Russell = Daunte, Quinn = Eli Manning. I'm glad we won't be in a position to draft either one. The quarterback I like in this draft is Kevin Kolb.
