Im in love with this guy! He has 4.4 speed!! 6-5 and 220 lbs.! Parcells loves having big WR's sooo perhaps?? He is new to the WR position and still set school records for tds! I saw they put up a new video on Youtube of him about a week ago. Check out the speed at about 1.30 into the video. Impressive :woot:

ya, i have been braggong him up this whole offseason. i think he is awesome and i want him on our team....i think alot of people on here dont want to take a WR this high. I hop we take him if he is here at 32 or even if we trade down with cowboys, i'd use a first rounder on him

I mean think about it... We really only have 2 WR's in Ginn and Wilford. No TE... and please people dont give me this whole Hagan thing. The guy hasnt proved much

ya hagan did desnt down the stretch but yes i agree we do need a big WR and hardy is that guy. i think it is either him or malcolm kelly as the best WR in the draft.

It depends who is still on the board at #32. I would still take Kelly or Sweed if they are still on the board, but I do like Hardy (great size). I think we could still get a very good WR with the 2B pick.

I really like James Hardy too. Big fast, strong reciever.

Here is the problem:

This could chase some teams away including us.

Definitely didnt know about that, Parcells will definitely take a more in depth look at him now if he was interested. I agree we need another receiver in the mix but if we take Chris Long at the top of the draft as i feel we will, we absolutely have to take an OT with the 32 pick!!!

You don't have to convince me. He's among my top watch list guys at #32 overall, right up there with Jeff Otah and Branden Albert, Anthony Collins, Martellus Bennett, Quentin Groves, Dan Connor, Mike Jenkins, Antoine Cason, Malcolm Kelly and Brian Brohm.

I think Plaxico Burress' play will boost Hardy's stock

he will be a late first rounder IMO

I honestly can't figure out the glass ceiling on his stock. Maybe just the character issues. He's got ultra production, has faced top competition, has top notch tangibles...what am I missing? Why is he not top 15?

He has faced off with Malcolm Jenkins, Vontae Davis, Londen Fryar, Charles Godfrey, Justin King, Sherrick McManis, Perrish Cox and Jack Ikegwuonu. All are rated among the top 20 cornerbacks of their respective draft classes by NFL Draft Scout. He averaged 6+ catches for 71+ yards and 1+ TDs against that group in 2007.

He's got long speed that Plaxico Burress never dreamed of (4.45), he's got great vertical ability (37 inches), he's over 6'5" in height and he is an absolute MONSTER in the red zone (36 touchdowns in 33 career games). He's been a basketball guy mostly that switched to football full time and is still learning, yet even just learning as he is, he can face top college corners, catch all kinds of touchdowns and average 71 yards a game on 6 catches?

Sign me up. Unless Jeff Otah, Chris Williams, Branden Albert, Mike Jenkins, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Aqib Talib, Quentin Groves, or Dan Connor make it all the way to #32...sign me up.

monster in the red zone says it all, especially when you consider NFL teams are sending out Jason Taylor and Mike Vrable.

if we don't snag a top TE, we had better snag one of the big WR's

give Beck a nice target instead of saddling him with the crap we had last year(all apologies to a young Ted Ginn)

We have to keep in mind that, until Ted Ginn assumes form, this is one of the worst WR units in the NFL. Signing Ernest Wilford did move the needle some...but only a little. It takes a WR three or four years to get to the top of his game. If we're making a run in 2010, having Ginn under the belt in 2007, and James Hardy under the belt in 2008, is one way to ensure that by 2010 we have a dangerous duo of receivers with a QB still in his prime (Beck will be 29) throwing to them. If Ronnie Brown can stay healthy and productive until then (he'd be reaching his 6th season...with a dropoff expected around the 7th season) and we can manage to revamp the OL the way they have promised...well heck...we have ourselves a heck of a Super Bowl caliber offense. Team it with a defense, sky is the limit.

Finally ! Someone who agrees with me!
We need a big WR threat ! besides Wilford

I doubt there were many out there who liked our current set of receivers.

we have so many needs that WR still doesn't really stand out, we suck at every position

as bad as we need a WR, we need a TE, a NT, a ILB, a LT, a G, a CB
