<A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/162">Mark Curnutte, of the Cincinnati Enquirer, reports the New Orleans Saints have now entered the picture for free agent QB Jamie Martin (Rams). The Saints want competition, and an insurance policy, for QB Drew Brees, who is coming back from shoulder surgery.

This QB situation is starting to worry me a tad. Saban must assume Culpepper won't be ready for the opener, and perhaps the first quarter of the season. Who, then will be our starter FOR PERHAPS 4-8 GAMES. I'm sorry, but Martin sucks. Collins is thinking retirement, and Saban surely isn't a fan of that mindset. Harrington is our best option, but what if he signs elsewhere? As for Lemon, does this guy actually exist? Drafting a young QB won't solve the immediate problem.

I certainly hope Culpepper is ready for the opener, but realistically there is a very good chance he won't be. Fiedler anyone? Just, uh...you know joking.
