dolphins should've brought this guy in. He's immediately starting at LT for the chiefs moving Branden Albert over to RT. Gaither will be a stud. grrrr this FO blows.. We needed a TE, a QB, and OL help and so far nine has been filled (correctly)
 
Gaither said that he wouldn't sign with a team unless they guaranteed he starts at left tackle. He hates right tackle. He told his agent it's mandatory he plays LT or he won't sign a contract.

And we aren't moving Jake to RT to make him look bad as he's been a terrific player for this team (and a very hard worker who leads by example), and the former #1 overall pick.

Moreover, Gaither has back issues and that's why he failed the physical with the Raiders (who he was about to sign with a week or two ago if not for the failed physical)

Yes but the OP hates this FO anyways even if his reasons make no sense.
 
Tom Brady - shoulda brought this guy in. Grrr...instead, they let New England pick him up in the 6th round!

Thats Gaither and his agents story. Read between the lines and you will find the actuall facts. Gaither has two completley ruined discs in his back that will require major surgery just for him to stand up right in later years. Not teams, none, are calling him for LT or RT, or guard or anything. Sooooooooooooooo. Since no team will even give him a shot at LT, call it his ego, pride or whatever, he bravely speaks he is not going anywhere unless its at LT and he starts. Feel for the guy, honestly do, his back is bad and there is nothing he can do about it. I do not like to see any athlete have this kind of problem or any for that matter that shortens their career but they do have pride and well, thats what Gaither has, pride. Its very very difficult for anyone to go from being one of the top performers at your craft to not being even wanted by anyone.

Bc this FO has made amazing moves. Definition of insanity is doing The same thing over and over and hoping for different results.. How many times are we gonna bring in colombos, smileys, incognitos of the world. Either bring in real talent or develop what we have

Smiley was good guard. He was just injury prone.
 
I am with you. The lack of being able to assess O-linemen should be enough to get these guys fired.

Gaither, McKinnie, Davis, Waters are all guys we COULD or could have had. Instead we have a gimpy Long, Incognito that cannot move, a rook in Pouncey, Carey who is shot and Columbo who is a back up. Nate Garner I like, but he is hurt all the time. John Jerry is a bust and I DO NOT want to hear about Murtha.

Bad O-line again.
 
bad back and all, I still rather have Gaither over Colombo. But it must be serious back issues, no one has touched him.
