Jared Odrick, Charles Clay, Jimmy Wilson to get pay raises

Wilson was quite the versatile player this year, did a lot of different things well this year, glad to see him doing well.

I disagree. While Wilson did make some solid plays he also left a lot of plays on the field due to mental errors. He reminded me of Nolan Carroll of 2012. Honestly he needs to be nothing more than a ST player moving forward if he remains a dolphin. Davis and Taylor need to take his spot from him.

Pay Odrick and Clay more and extend them

The lack of appreciation for Jimmy wilson deeply confuses me

Odrick and Clay are very deserving…I do hope they get extended as both have shown steady progress over the coarse of their short careers.

Why should I excuse the guy who, on a defense that was pretty good at everything except for getting off the field on third down, was usually the one whose guy made the conversion? He was the weak link in the secondary.

Oh yes those seventh round picks making a league minimum wage who make a number of big, significant plays though a season really need singled out for criticsm eh?

Jimmy wilson had a good year, stop expecting every player to be an all pro. Wilson got a pay rise and deserved it, you seen what he is paid compared to the rest of the d?

Give up already dude, he got fired and his horrible drafting was one of the main reasons!!

Ozzy rules!!

Your just scared to face the facts that Ireland did draft them and we could end up with someone much worse and we have in the past. Soon many fans want to make the next move the best move whatever it is. Ever watch I dream of Dream of Jeannie from the 60s it works that way in the movies.

If a guy is on the field I expect a full effort, and Wilson repeatedly got caught being lazy. It's not about playing at a probowl level, it's about trying at a probowl level. In fact I might expect a 7th rd pick to be all about effort since he clearly isn't some physical specimen. You cannot just wave at a guy as he runs by. He would have been in the back room of my doghouse after the NE game Miami won.

I don't understand the hating on Wilson. Is he a starting CB? No. Does he contribute? Yes. He occasionally makes some big plays - like when he lit up Brady on a blitz / fumble and I think he's blocked a punt or two. Even had a pick. Good depth player.

I don't think many intelligent people will say that Ireland was flat-out awful, he was just mediocre. His drafts prove it, too. He can hit on a Charles Clay or Reshad Jones or Jimmy Wilson and then completely whiff on guys like Dallas Thomas, Egnew, etc etc... he misses a lot. He lasted six years because he did do some things well. But it's okay to get rid of mediocre production.
