Less than a day after signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars, former Dolphins defensive tackle Jared Odrick, known for his Pee-wee Herman dance after sacks, delivered a little jab at his former head coach on his way out of South Florida.
“He’s an energetic guy,” Odrick said of Jags coach Gus Bradley, “something I wasn’t used to in Miami.”
Ouch.
There wasn’t necessarily bad blood during Joe Philbin’s three years coaching Odrick in Miami but there were several apparent confrontations last season. One came in Week 14 against the Ravens when Odrick appeared to scream “every week” at his coach with the team down eight points with just minutes remaining. The two brushed it off after the game.
Philbin has never been known as a fiery coach, but Odrick’s remarks after signing a contract with the Jaguars that will pay him $22 million guaranteed seem to be both unnecessary and petty.
Meanwhile down in Davie, the Dolphins are believed to be closing in on Odrick’s replacement — four-time First-team All-Pro Ndamukong Suh.

Yeah that energy from the coach in Jacksonville really has turned that franchise around lol.

Every new player on any new team will automatically say something good about the coach and franchise. Adrian Peterson could join the Raiders and say they're a great franchise with nothing but potential.

It's all about the energy Sparano - Rex Ya that's all it takes. I am sure if we gave Odrick $22 million also he would "look" beyond that- and re-signed here.

Not a big deal. Anyone whos ever seen Philbin knows he's not an energetic guy

Yeah, once a player leaves our team ... I tend to not care a whole lot what they have to say. :idk:

Odrick's greatest moment as a Dolphin.

He's an excellent player, and absolutely right about queasy Joe.

What he'll be saying after a little time in Jax

He's gone so fuk what he thinks.

That guy in New England doesn't seem to be an energetic guy...he does pretty well for himself. The coach being energetic or catatonic doesn't have much effect on what happens on the field IMO. Pete Carroll is energetic and wins, Bill Belichick is catatonic and wins.

When I look around the Raiders locker room I see nothing but untapped potential. You have potential, you have potential, Phillip Wheeler has potential. You guys seen the commercial.

Didn't say it did. But its obvious its not philbin's m.o. so theres no reason to crucify Odrick for saying something that is so obvious
