Jarvis Landry is the best KR in the league right now

He's made some big plays as a KR. The problem is he has had some brainfarts as a PR

Jarvis is a welcome addition. We have some very good players, we just need to put it all together...oh, and fire Joe.

Loving this kid. Love the way he celebrated the TD, with fire and passion. Unlike Hartline with his ridiculous putt celebration. He's a football player for sure. He was a little jittery the first few games both receiving and on punt returns but he's coming on strong lately.

Love him as a WR and a kick returner....not so much a punt returner. But this kid is coming along and slowly turning into the player most of this board hoped and expected. Hopefully he can keep this momentum going and keep getting better.

This kid's a great pick, as is James and others. To his credit, when drafted, TedSlimmJr was one of the only ones around here bullish about James as a natural real deal and also opined that Landry could well end up as one of the Fins GOATs. And that's why Hickey should hire Philbin's replacement if there is to be one. Bottom Line is that I trust his judgment a helluva lot more than I do Ross's Carl Peterson's Tannenbaums, or Dawn's.

I will admit I have been very critical of Landry as our return guy, I hate him being back there. I think I am swayed by the fact I know Landry is the future of this franchise and I don't want him exposed to serious injury that may hinder his career. He has been bad at times with handling of the ball and judgements, but he is young, but god damn he is explosive. Looking forward to Landry being our next Irving Fryar/OJ Mcduffie.

I think hes going to be a nice center addition to the team. This team has enough to win despite what others say. They just need a coach.

Thoughts:

1. What Landry showed on Sunday is that he might already be the best wide receiver on our roster. I'm honestly not exaggerating. That touchdown catch was impressive. So with that in mind...

2. "Because the 3 listed before him have big outliers..." -- this is nonsense. They are KICK RETURNERS. First, if you look at every return over the course of the season, the long ones probably don't even amount to actual statistical outliers. Second, great returners are supposed to get those! That's why you put a great athlete back there, to create touchdowns in the return game.

3. Darren Rizzi and the kick return team blockers deserve a tremendous amount of praise for the fact that Landry's average is so high despite the fact that he's not speedy enough to break any touchdowns.

While I would agree but 22 of the 44 players in the OP'S link have 1 return to show for their average. Landry is holding his own despite.

Confession: didn't actually click the link to look at 'em, but if you 'toss out' every KR's longest return and then try to find the best guy... you're missing the whole point.

Yes he is very exciting for a guy who lacks elite speed. I'm just glad he's near the top of the league. When have we had that on our team? I love watching him do KR's but punts make me cringe. I guess either way, special teams is no longer a time to get up and get a snack.

And a qb!

I don't believe we need another Qb...we just need players around him with the same chemistry as the scheme...in other words more time together as a team so they are on the same page...comfort zone...confidence...quit changing the scheme every year or two while expecting things to gel....not likely to do anything except stay mediocre...average
