Jarvis Landry (Q1)

Well his play has has been far from consistent, and has failed to live up to the preseason hype pushed on these boards.

He's a little better version of Bess. Nothing more nothing less.

Oh, heck no. Heck no.

Landry has far more upside than Bess ever dreamed while smoking a blunt.

If only the team would please stop putting him back on returns and let him develop where he can make the most impact: WR!

I just don't see that explosion in his wr play. Watching a fellow rookie in AZ, John Brown, I absolutely think that he is something that could be top shelf.

The thing is, if I remember correctly Bess was in the conversation for offensive rookie of the year. To do what Bess did would have to be considered meeting high expectations. A few of us predicted he would put up Bess type numbers, which is not bad for a rookie, and if he's just a bit better than that he could win OROY.

I have offered a opinion, but like past history with you....you don't accept it. Might be best to just ignore each other. Since I think you offer little outside of pictures mocking fellow posters and sending private messages attacking some.

Stop whining. I called you out for not having any cojones for disabling the thumbs up/down feature yet who have handed out 1,054 downs yourself.

I think he will be a better Bess, just not this year.

bess was pretty good until he went bonkers

To be fair, Benjamin is the only one who is consistently taking on safety help because he is the only option in Car besides Olsen. He and Cooks are by far the best WRs in this class. Landry IMO has a legitimate shot at being the 3rd best though.

I liked Bess, but we had to deal with his limitations. What I'm seeing so far, are the same limitations. Not great speed. Limited ability to separate. But he does seem a bit better. And players like that do have a place in the league. I just want something more. Gibson last year showed us what a competent viable threat at slot looked like. So far, I wish we had last years version of Gibson back.

John Brown from Arizona will be someone to watch. 3 games...3 touchdowns. And if you have seen him play, you would be hard pressed to not walk away impressed.

Landry to me will get better with time under his belt.Sometimes i think we expect to much to soon.I got high hopes for this kid.

He's not super explosive. But he's got other attributes of limited space quickness, strength, body lean, good hands (not quite shown so far), physicality and vision -- enough to make him a really good possession WR. Better than Hartline. And better than Bess at his best (which honestly, never was overwhelming -- never won his yards on physical talent, but rather living in underneath zones and coverage spaces, moving chains but never threatening Ds).
