6'6 255 can play OLB or DE the guy is nasty if he comes out in the draft this year we need to get this guy he looks like a Peppers , kearse, maybe even JT type player and he can block a kick something i havent seen miami due in a long time.

??whos a better DE in college football??

First of all, he is absolutely nothing like Julius Peppers, who is bigger, stronger, and faster than Moss will ever be. JT is a much more accurate comparison in terms of size.

Second, he is not going to come out this year, he is the 3rd best player on his own D-Line. And to answer your question, Quentin Moses and Gaines Adams are better DE in college football, off the top of my head.

It sounds like you can't keep it in your pants because he blocked a few kicks this past weekend, and that's certainly not a reason to draft someone.

I think he was more exited because he is a possible future replacement for JT in the at that OE position... especially given his size, and athletic ability. Considering moss was suffering from an undiagnosed staph infection in his hip for 2 years, and is only now finally healthy you must realize that he has most likely not met his zenith. He was down to 212 pounds at one point. I doubt if he declares this year, but he is a draftable player with a lot of upside.

For those of us who would like to watch him during these last few weeks and are uninformed... which school does he play for?

jason taylor blocked a kick last wk or the wk before.

Nope..JT has no blocks this year (He's on my IDP fantasy league)

Right before half time of the Cheifs game...He blocked a kick you should demand a recount

He's suspended for this weekend's game. :(

Have to wait til next week to seem him against FSU, Noon EST game on ABC.

I agree that Moss is an interesting prospect, but as previously stated he is if not the third best lineman in overall talent on the Gators front 4. Rank

Marcus Thomas 1a dt
Ray McDonald 1b dt/de
Jarvis Moss de
Derrick Harvey de

With Ray Mcdonald the most versitial and quickest lineman out of the group. If i had to choose, 3-4 i will draft Ray McDonald if 4-3 Marcus Thomas. Moss has not lived up to the hype and has been outshined by Derrick Harvey. For a Junior he doesnt have first round talent or 1st day draft as of right now. He will need another year to prove otherwise.

Correct, he needs another year. But the "not living up to the hype thing" isn't really his fault. He fault a pelvic bone infection for 2 years before they finally figured out what it was. It affected his weight and overall physical conditioning. We are just now seeing what he can do. I really hope he stays at Florida another year.

You aren't telling me anything I didn't already know about Jarvis Moss. But when the OP compares him to Peppers, that's a bit much for me. Of course he's draftable, but the OP made it sound like he's the best D-Lineman in college football! The fact remains that he's the 3rd best D-Lineman on his own team.

Nice, accurate analysis bro. Like Motion said, it isn't his fault he hasn't lived up to the hype, but he's been getting better all year and I expect a big senior season from him.

We can use someone like this guy on our team I will be looking for him to get drafted high.

being that Marcus Thomas is not even on the team anymore proves you noe alot about the gators and the play of J. Moss and idk how you can over rate some one who leads his team in sacks and second only to the eraser in takles i would say there the best line but i cant tlk cuz i havent seen the michigan line play so ima say there one of the best so J.Moss a redshirt junior will declare

JT did kinda get a finger tip on the ball in the K.C game but it didnt count
