Everyone has talked about last year's draft picks impact on last year's play..but what do0o you guys think about this year's pick..i personally love how Jason Allen plays and i want to see em start. I dont really know about Derek Hagan..and i know lots of Aromoshadou because he played for my high school and was a stud...so0o give me some feedbacks on how you think they are going to do0o in their rookie and future seasons with the dolphins

I think Jason Allen will start at safety and do just fine barring any injury. As for Hagan, I think by mid-season he'll have a grasp on the #3/slot WR position. Aromashodu, eh, practice squad or kick returner, maybe #5 WR if for some reason Welker or Campbell are cut.

:yeahthat: I also think that last years draft had much more impact then this years draft will have.

Right away, yeah, the '05 class might make more of an impact. We had 3 rookies w/more starts combined than any other team in Brown, Crowder and Daniels. With this class you have to look at Jason Allen being the leader in the secondary a few years down the road, Hagan as the #2 when Marty Booker moves on (though I think Book's got a few more years left in Miami). Joe Toledo will probably be the starting RG in a year or two, IMO Bennie Anderson is a stopgap, though he's a Houck type of player. I think Rod Wright, Manny Wright and Fred Evans could develop into the starting 3 lineman if a full-time 3-4 defense is ever really run. Aromashodu could be a #3 guy in the future. I think a lot of what this year's class will do depends on what happens to the rest of the roster over the next two or three seasons, so you really can't judge the class for 4 or 5 years to give it a worth grade if you will.

i would love for aromoshudu to get playing time cuz i think he could be a stud but it will really be hard for him to get an opportunity just because of the amount of depth we have on our wr core this year....i think hagan will win the #3 wr spot and jason allen will start at safety, jason allen however will be carrying the highest hopes and the spot light since he was our #1 pick so i just hope he can live up to the hype that will soon surround him

i think allen will end up starting and might struggle in the beggining but towards the end of the season i think hell be in the race for defensive rookie of the year and as for hagan i really havent seen him play at all but ive heard lots of good things...by the way what high school did/do you go to??

thats relative to opportunity. Last year we had many more needs and players were all but guaranteed a roster spot. This year will be much more competitive in earning a job and keeping it. we have a much more talented team this year and so naturally it would be that way though i thinkwe we're going to come out of this draft with at least 2 immediate starters with allen, culpepper (essentially our 2nd) and possibly 3 more in a year or two depending on how long hagan, toledo and rod wright take to develop.

Miami Springs Senior High...i stil go der and im an upcoming sophmore...

Way too early for me to venture a guess. I think Saban got even better value this year than last and expect higher ultimate results from this year's draft than last - down the road, at least 2 years away.

Hagan is McDuffie's reincarnation and the future leader of the Miami recieving corp. I can't really name any reciever Aromashodu really resembles, except maybe Chris Chambers. Jason Allen is one of the New DBs, that is the guys with speed and technique instead of pure physicallity.

Its too early. I like Allen but we need to see that he will be healthy for many years to warrant a 1st rounder. I like the draft we got help on the Offensive and Defensive lines that will take a couple of years to grade but could be steals.

Your investing a 1st round pick in Jason Allen. Trust me, he's going to start in the secondary. I expect Devin to be extremely suprising because not TOO many know about his abilities. I personally know Devin and he wants to show everyone that he was gem found in the 7th round.

I'm really excited about Hagan. I see a ferocious underdog in him that is waiting to crip walk on the NFL. I'll be watching him closely.

The reason everyone is so anxious about this year's crop is because of how successful last year's crop was. If Saban duplicates last years success, he'll be declared "King of the Drafters" or something like that....

That said, I too am somewhat enamored with Aromashodu. He has unique combination of physical skills and size. If he can stick as a returner for a year or two and develop into a better WR, he can be one of the better guys in the league. I'd love to see WW's return duties be replaced by Aromo and Campbell, not because I dislike WW, but he potential is reached...he's more of a role player...I'd rather see a younger guy being given time to develop than to keep someone who's reached his physical limits...

Allen NEEDS to be this year's Daniels for us. He needs to be put in the lineup and he needs to produce. Our secondary was as bad as our DL was good last year. Saban has completely revamped the secondary to the point that Daniels may not be our best option at LCB, but that remains to be seen. I still think Poole will develop into a solid starter. For that reason, and for Daniels knowledge of Saban's secondary philosophy, I see him, ideally, as the swing guy in the secondary....JMHO, but Poole has that much ability. Allen and Hill look to be the safties with Bell and Cooper pushing hard for PT. Athletically, the 5 front running DBs (Allen, Daniels, Poole, Allen and Hill) are much better than last years group and Cooper, Bell, and Tillman make the depth as good or better than last year. I will say that Bell and Tillman played well after injuries threw them into the lineups and as we know, that was during the 6 game streak that the secondary came together finally. I'm pretty excited to see the camp battles begin there.

I believe that Hagan and Campbell will be co-#3 WRs. I'm not too sure where or if Vick fits in, but that could be quite a find if he develops. If Vick impresses with Mitchell, Aromo and Campbell fighting out the return duties, it could be difficult for fan-favorite Welker to make the team. While I love what he's done and meant (since in 2004, he was about the only good thing to look at on the offensive side of the ball) it would be sad to see him move on, but he'll hook up somewhere else. If Vick doesn't progress enough, he may be hard to keep on the practice squad, but either way, the team will be much better in the WR department and as good or better in the return department....

The other picks (and UDFAs) Toledo, Fafita, Evans, Ishola along with returning guys like Manny Wright, Vickerson, Roth all look to be better and should fill in roles on the team.... That's what you want from your later round drafted guys.
