Earlier today on ESPNs Cold Pizza, they had an NFL report with SportingNews' Dan Pompei. Pompei said that with the injury problems in the Miami secondary, Jason Allen is getting his looks at corner back in practice. It should be interesting to see how Saban handles this. Sorry, no link, I saw it on TV.

I do have a link for this however. I went to look at this guy's collums and saw that he wrote a piece on Daunte. Don't know if it's been posted, but I enjoyed it all the same. Well, here ya go. http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=117699

It doesn't take long to see the Dolphins are a different team with Daunte Culpepper. Going from Gus Frerotte to Culpepper represents probably the most significant jump in talent at one position in the entire NFL this offseason. "Night and day," is how Dolphins coach Nick Saban described it to me. "Gus did a fantastic job for us last year. I'm not saying it to diminish that. But we're younger, more athletic, and I think that's going to be a big help to us in the end."

I've been trying to explain that to Pats fans all off-season.

I think we really need to bring in some1 at cb. We are too injuried right there and barely have enough guys to field a complete secondary in the corner spot. Bring some1 in!

Thats a bit much.

Yeah and we all know that our second and third teamers didn't look so great against Jacksonville. (Three 50+ yard TD passes.:shakeno: )

As for this already being posted, my apologies. I hadn't seen it and thought it was some good info.

Pat fans are trying as hard as they can to hold on to the dominance they've had in the division for the last five years. They refuse to give credit to the fins for anything. They just think it's their god given right to win the division. Well we all know it doesn't last forever, Miami is making the right moves to challange for the division title. Coaching and talent upgrades will give us the edge this year IMO.

Jason Allen getting reps at cornerback is old news.

Yeah that has already been said in an earlier post, plus it was reported today on Cold Pizza so I thought I would share it. If you don't want to talk about the subject, don't post.

That thought had crossed my mind. I think Bell can be a very good player in this league and he showed us he can start last year. It should be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

Thanks! I hadn't heard that Allen has been getting reps at corner, although I'm not surprised with all of our injuries.

These have been posted. And, Pompei is overblowing the Allen CB play. The papers reported yesterday that he lined up for a few plays there. I don't think it's a big deal or any sort of sign.

this was new for me as well. But I think it is good for him to at least get familiar with the position in case he needs to fill a void there.

What's really a bit much is having Urban Meyer in the same picture as Nick. That's actually blasphemy and you will pay in the afterlife.
