So I'm in the car late afternoon listening to one of the mouths on WQAM interviewing Armando, so you can take this FWIW, but..

Armando says that JA deserved his depth chart demotion and no matter what the triumvirate is saying publicly, they're none too pleased with his performance. Yet another time-delayed Saban fiasco exploding.. or just Armando being Armando (and talking out his azz). Who knows, but thought I'd just throw this one out there to break up the Beck monotony.

seemed to me like he was playing ok in the games i watched. i think it's just a look to light a fire in allen and to see what kind of roster flexibility we have in the 2 deep.

bell and allen to me should be the opening day starters at safety.

he has sucked since day 1.

He should be cut.

He played great last season....

The title of this thread is misleading...I thought he was in trouble with the law....I was about to say "oh noooooo!"

that's too harsh, even for my standards. i think he's on the verge of being a play maker. the talent is there - the dude is a serious athlete. between the constant coaching and playbook changes and the overall incompetence of basically everyone with any say-so around him, if you can make an excuse for anyone it is him. plus trying to put a natural FS at CB? come on. 62 tackles and 3 picks aren't bad for a guy that started about half the games ain't that bad.

it's between the ears he struggles. supposedly, this defense is more friendly to the safeties than last years which dbs of late admitted was very complicated. doesn't require as much mental aptitude. that should only help jason allen.

i recently read something on him where he said he loved the new defense because it let him 'react' and not 'think'. he relies on his natural abilities and just needs to get out there and play without worrying about getting the play wrong.

yeah, that's exactly what i'm talking about.

yup. check and check.

Have you guys seen his interviews? He has not smiled once in his interviews this year. I looked at all 6 interviews on aquavision. Not One Smile, Or Joke. He looks and acts with no emotion.

Sweet he is a sociopath. Maybe he will hit people harder now ha.

I think a lot of the work Crocker received with the 1st team was in the nickel package. Also, I never once heard that Jason Allen was NOT present in that same practice with the first team as well. Given YB's nature as an aggressive blitzer, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Allen and Crocker were the two safeties naturally playing deep, and Bell was up near the line or lining up over a slot receiver.

This rumor also comes from the Armando that said the Dolphins had no interest in Jake Long whatsoever prior to the draft simply because no Miami reps showed up at the Michigan pro day. We took not 1, but 2 players from Michigan.
