i was watching the 2006 combine and i was watching jason allens Defensive back group running the 40 yd dash and i saw jason allen and didnt realize how much of a beast this man is,,on draft day he lookled skinny,,but im sure glad we got him because for a safety this man is huge and whats awesome is he ran a 4.42,,,;)
 
yeah i was psyched when david bowens said it was the 1st time he remembers 1 of our safeties being able to go from one side of the field to the other and break up a pass...it was during minicamp...

when espn.com was covering the combine they said that allen runs that faster than his official time. They said he runs constant 4.3 range. Speed and strength. i think thats the motto for the phins post-saban defense.
 
makes ya wonder who wanny would have selected instead of allen. Prolly woulda made his classic reach move and totally wasted the pick. THANK GOD 4 SABAN!!!
 
I didn't see Jason Allen, but I was watching the combine too and I saw Derek Hagan. Fast and athletic. Good pickup for us.
 
If not for the hip injury he would have been mentioned in the same breath as Michael Huff. They would have been 1a and 1b in terms of DB rankings.
If he can stay healthy he is an umbelievable steal.
I think he will be an impact player on this defense, very much like Palomalu and Ed Reed.
 
I'm really glad we got Jason Allen, I just hope he doesn't has any problems with his knee this year.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about this pick myself. I hope he excels as much as everyone predicts he will. If he does in fact win the starting position, I'm thinkin that this is gonna be our guy for years to come.
 
The guy is a beast what i like about him is he can come up and play the corner position just as efficiently as he does safty. Im really exited about this kid i was pumped when saban drafted him. Go Dolphins TC is coming up i cant waite!
