So with Reggie Bush signing a six year deal does this help push his signing up. I mean #2 in the draft got six years, can't see how Allen's agent can make a case that his man deserves a 5 yr deal. Last article I read was talking about the pick right after Miami can go 6 years and they didn't want to feel penalized for having to take a 6 year deal over a 5 year deal.

Now that the #2 pick just got 6 years it kind of poop cans their talk about demanding 5 because no one above him signed one. I bet Allen is in camp within the next couple of days.

The Bush 6 year deal will in no way affect Allen. There are 4 others guys in the top 13 picks already signed for 6 years not counting Bush

I believe only the top 16 players drafted can be signed to 6 year deals, the lower half of the first round are limited to a max of 5 years. With the next pick after Allen being limited to 5 years and with several of the picks above him signing 5 year deals his agent is just trying to get a similar deal. Can't really blame him.
