Anyword on where he ended up after the sup. draft. Thought I read where Miami was still interested but with camp starting tomorrow I would think that if he were coming something would have been done to get him here first day. Any news that I have missed on him?

I saw about a week ago that it was between the fins and the Raiders. He has yet to sign an official contract yet though. If he does get signed it will probably be in the middle of TC or if someone gets injured.

I posted that from a Iowa St. football rivals.com site..

Some guy posted that information about the Raiders and Miami. However, draftdaddy.com confirmed just that, and I know they seek reliable sources, such as the family of the player. But you are right in that they should have done something by now. But a player would have to be cut for him to be signed. There also has been some mention that Washington, the rb from NcSt., was going to be looked at. We shall see.

Yeah, I posted both those stories.

You posted that message on the Iowa St. rivals board?

So you went to that much trouble to stir up things in Iowa St. country LOL LOL.

Actually I read the stuff on Anderson from a link on this board. Must have been you.
The guy that posted on the Iowa St. site said he talked to Berryman the Friday after the supplemental draft. But nothing has been said since. Puzzles me. He was considered the second best player in that group, and worth the risk. I don't know. Miami certainly needs another rush guy.

I'm an ISU fan. We're gonna tear up Iowa this year with Bret Meyer and Todd Blythe. Oh and you can't forget Stevie Hicks.:goof:

otherwise the first post wasn't mine. I posted the stuff from Draft daddy.

I don't know why he hasn't been able to sign with a team though. I knew he wouldn't get drafted, but i never thought he would be searching for a home this late.

I'm going to buy season tix next year when they are all seniors. I don't think Blythe will leave after this year. It's Iowa St. Look how well Troy Davis did when he left early.

hjelmeland: Good luck with your prediction. If I'm not mistaken, ISU returns a whopping 3 starters on defense. ISU won the Iowa game last year because the DLINE was superior (and Berryman was a big part of that). I suspect the Iowa DLine has the advantage this year, since the Top 6 all return. Of course, all of our conjecture means nothing... we'll wait and see how things turn out 9/16.

Back to the point: Berryman is very fast off of the corner, disruptive to the backfield and productive. He doesn't even cost the 'phins a draft pick!! GET HIM INTO CAMP!

I agree with this. If you really look at the ISU games Berryman was not only all over the place but that DL was clearly forcing a bunch of bad throws into the secondary to be picked off.

I was kind of hoping Miami signed him for camp to compete with Ben Ishola for the spot behind JT and D-Bo.

Yeah that, both of you guys. Sign Berryman and dump Eddie Moore to the curb.

Eddie Moore's already all but gone. Ben Ishola is currently occupying our 7th LB roster spot. He is an "understudy" to Jason Taylor and David Bowens at their positions.

Ishola's got unbelievable athletic abilities...never really puts it together on the field though. I suppose that's what being an "understudy" is about though, learning to put his athleticism to work on the field.

It will be a good game. Iowa has to rebuild their defense, and have to replace Ed Hinkel, and Clinton Soloman, as well as 3-4 players on their O-line. I don't honestly think ISU will blow out Iowa, but I do think they have a very good chance. ISU really has a young team, and the majority will now be juniors and Seniors, and that is why I think they will come together this year and hopefully finally win the North. They still have DeAndre Jackson on defense, who i believe will be scouted alot this year by the NFL. They also are returning Brent Curvey, the DT who had that fumble returned for a touchdown against Colorado. i don't know if you saw that game but that was a 50+ yard return.
