It's mostly about Green, but there was a paragraph or two about Culpepper I was not aware of, and if true, I don't like it.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=jc-green032307&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

"Friends of Culpepper have expressed concern for his future in Miami after being traded there a year ago. Members of the Dolphins organization have indicated they have doubts about Culpepper’s ability to recover from a knee injury and subsequent surgeries. Culpepper was limited to four games last season before undergoing more surgery this year.

Culpepper has also rubbed coaches the wrong way at times with a stubborn approach to changing his game. The Dolphins have encouraged Culpepper to work on getting rid of the ball more quickly, but he has been reticent to do so."

Wow.

true or just bs to start issues to sell readers into buying that ****?

Wow.

I pray that we drop that waste of money. Culpepper was never a good player and will never even be as good as Moss made him look, again. Letting him be someone else's burden is the best thing possible at this point.

Its hard to buy into the friend of a friend thing, sounds like someone is trying to stir up BS

The author of that article needs to take a vocabulary course. Saying that DC was reticent to changing his game doesn't make any sense. Maybe he meant reluctant, but I don't trust him anyway.

Reticent is a synonym for reluctant. But it probably fits better because it's more descriptive in this case.

reticent \RET-ih-suhnt\, adjective:
1. Inclined to keep silent; reserved; uncommunicative.
2. Restrained or reserved in style.
3. Reluctant; unwilling.

So not only is he reluctant/unwilling to change his game, the topic is basically off-limits to his coaches (as far as he's concerned). And that's something that would REALLY rub a coach the wrong way (dismissing coaching).

That's my interpretation anyway. Who knows.

Either way, it sounds more and more like CPep is on his way out. There must be more to the situation than just his health, since he was a decent QB prior to the injury, Moss or no Moss...the fact that the articles is out there indicates this much to me...

Jason Cole is not some hack.He has good contacts with the Dolphins so I have to believe there is some truth to what he says.........but IMO it applies to last year.

I dont think it applies to this year .They havnt practiced yet and Cam said everyone will get a fresh start.

However it does look CPep is on his way out.Its a shame because IMO he has not had enough of a chance but I am not close to the situation.

The article is probably referencing DC's arguement with "Terry" last year. I wouldnt read too much into it. I know we all all want answers now but I think we are just going to have to wait and see whats happens on draft day and if we are able to get one of the top 2 quarterbacks to see if DC is going to be on his way out.

One has to begin to wonder about the reports we read from many sources of Culpeppers inability too see the field well, and go thru his progressions.

A true quarterback coach like Cameron may have no interest in a QB with such limitations, it may well be the old "Moss rule",where he was supposed to throw to Moss a certain percentage of the time, had as much to do with Daunte's limitations, as it did the Minnesota offense in general.

I still remember the reports we heard of Mike Martz stating that if named Dolphin coach he would get rid of Culpepper.

I, for one, was not very happy with CP's behavior on the side-lines last year, after he was replaced by Harrington. That was not the behavior of a TEAM member. I can't see him wanting to play in Miami behind another quarterback. Trade him to the Raiders, and let him hope Moss will make him look good again.

Jason Cole is about as true as you'll find. I play in a fantasy football league with him, and he's not a big-talker or exaggerator. If he has a source and the source screws him, he will never trust nor use that source again. Before leaving for Yahoo Sports last year, he was the longest tenured writer ever to cover the Dolphins for the Miami Herald. So know his info is as good as you'll find...
